Lightbulb TS2 and two Soundcards???

WIll it be available soon?????

I need it to use one card for recording and one for playing.

like in the win version!

Sould not be too
difficult to implement.

Apart from that, TS2 for linux really rocks and sould be in every distibution!

You can select which device to use. You cannot select which device to use for recording and which device to use for playback. They are the same as for now.

i would need this too. i have an onbard soundcard which i use for playback, into an earphone, and a PCI SB:Live whichi i use as mic, since the onboard mic input is bust...

any help would be appreciated, i'm not very familiar with this os and haven't the slightest clue if it's possible (should be right?) or where to set it up. the TS2 GUI is different then the windows version...

If I'm not wrong SB Live should support hardware mixing so you shouldn't need 2 soundcards.

It does support hardware mixing, but my problem is getting the audio out to a different source (earphone) and not my speakers.

In the "windows" TS2 settings, you can set a Input device and output device. Due to my broken mic input on the onboard, i would use the SB as my input and AC97 as my output. I wish i could replicate this.

Unhappy

I have the same problem but i can't configure teamspek
I have two soundcards: sb live (used for system sounds) and AC97 (i want to use it only for Teamspek).
In winXP it is very easy but i don't know what is the name of my soundcard (AC97) in linux to make it work with TS.
I tryed with /dev/dsp1 but I can't hear anything even if in the mixer everything is activated.

Please Heeelp....

Webcam mic !

Hi
I'd also like to have this feature, as I use my Webcam as a mic, and of course, it can't play any sound...
If someone knows how to work around this by the way ... I've got the same problem for Skype

Well, this is what I do: I have an SB-Live and an onboard nForce2 card, I use the nForce for TS while I use the Live! for games, so I don't get sounds mixed, I actually output the sound of the nForce to the front speaker on my Logitech 6.1 sound system, since the Live! only supports up to 4.1 (it's a Live! Value card). For the mic I use the audio connectors on my computer's case, select mic2 in alsamixer and I'm game! Since I use the same speakers for both cards, I can even plug a headset to the "master" speaker and it will map both TS and game audio to my earphones...
