TS Banner-

-As we all know the famous code to put in a teamspeak banner but only a Super Admin can do this unless you own your own box or run the server off your computer please make it where the person that pays for the teamspeak is able to change the banner- Also in individual channels make it so where we can put about a 100-40 pix picture that would be sick Thanks

The banner is called "hoster banner" for a reason. It was never designed as a function for the end user, but for commercial hosters to advertise their service.

To my knowledge, this feature was never planned to be part of the freeware server edition. The developers just decided compiling 2 binarys is a waste of time which they could use to work on TeamSpeak 3. That's why there is only one server version now and everybody can set a banner.

However, I agree with you that it would be pretty cool to be able to have different banners per virtual server. But in my opinion the server hoster should still be able to enable or disable this functionality.

It could be a bit like in Battlefield 2. There you have a "sponsor banner" and a "community banner".

Something like this idea would be great. Too often do we get asked if the banner can be changed at the top of their server. In fact we even lost a customer due to the fact that our banner was on top of his teamspeak server lol.

Why not just ask your host to put the code in for you thats what I did. Most host will place code in for you. However I do agree with you that there are super admin things we should have access to such as being able to start and stop the server for a reboot ect.I asked for that in the TS3 wishlist.

More than one person should be able to access super admin but the problem is they need to be able to seperate the slot change or password protect it for rented servers other wise the renter can change it.

I don't think so. INI settings are server-wide. They are valid for all customers on this server. This means the hoster would have to setup a whole server instance just for you so the other customers are not affected by the changes.

I guess most hosters won't do this.

This is precisely the reason why we don't do it.

Thumbs up teamspeak custom banner

there is a teamspeak banner dispatcher now, I would recommend setting that up. It gives each server its own banner image and link url.
you can ask your host to set that, I have went ahead and enabled the custom banners for all our servers.
You can view the demo on our site if you like, its public

http://www.***********.com

works fine, thanks to people like Claw for coding it up and supporting it

After a google search, planet TS appears to have something that might be what we are looking for. Does it actually do its job? I dunno, I'm gonna test.

What we also need is HTML code enabled for channel descriptions and stuff.
