Hello,
well, I am really sad to say, TeamSpeak is nearly about to SUCK. The really very big good thing in TeamSpeak is, that it is available for windows _and_ linux. Not so good has always been its serious shareware-like license. And really bad is, that the server freezes(!) just like the client sucks. That is, the client on most any action throws "Integer Overflow". Even on really simple actions (like window shading - on x11; on joining, on simply anything).
This just can't be the truth.

haha, your such a fool...
try to develop such a tool without being paid for it, just for fun, to support the gaming community.
And then such a jerk comes along the road and tells you in the most impolite way, that he doesn't like your tool, that it sucks, just because he found some errors or because you take like 2 € for a server-license, which is VERY fair. (just look at the price for delphi professional edit and you know what you're at and that you should shut up.) And btw in my opinion the license is very cool, because as long as you don't use TS to earn money with it or you aren't a company that deals with it, you don't have to pay money for it at all. But because of some complaints they are even willing to change a bit of their license, for further support of the gaming community.
Back to you:
You had like two ways of reporting an error.
One is that you yell at the developers that their tool sucks. If I was a developer and you came accross my way like that, I'd beat the shit out of you.
The other way you could've acted was to report the errors and try to solve it. Niels and Ralf really showed very much engagement to improve their tool and if they couldn't reply any attempts like that, they were just too busy.
But you chose way one. Now think about how Niels and Ralf will react to this insult!?!
Do you think they're going to help you or not?

The problem usually is that some ppl cannot be bothered to use the search function of the forum . It is easier to complain .. funny enough there are still people out there that answer these kind of posts

Im sorry you dont like teamspeak
You don't have to use teamspeak.
Install windows and use the shareware gamevoice or rw instead!
Anyway, like said before.. there is a patch available.
Just look under "Integer overflow"

I never said, that teamspeak is _bad_ - it's just that I got really tired of getting flooded by these errors.
Although, I would really feel free to port teamspeak server / client to C++ (or C if you want to) to help to contribute. However, ObjectPascal is really the wrong choice of language for me.
Hm.... and here we are, the reason for why I find that license bad is, that I can't access the source code, this make locating/fixing bugs even harder.

speaking of licenses....
i don't mean to be an ass, but i noticed teamspeak uses codecs that are under GPL and as far as i can remember a pivotal point of the GPL is that any software using GPLed components has to be released under GPL as well.
i just wanted to bring that to attention, i'm not a law expert (just a simple IT student), however i would hate to see my favourite voice comm program sued out of existence over a trifle.

What part of TeamSpeak are you talking about?
However, according to code that uses parts of others GPLed code (or even list linked against to use) must be inherit at least the same version of GPL, too. So, it's always recommented to license libraries as LGPL (Lesser GPL - aka. Library GPL).
