Help required regarding server ports.

Hey guys,

First off just want to say that im not the most computer literate person around, so apologies if this may sound a bit dumb.

To cut a long story short, i cant get onto my guild's teamspeak server (world of warcraft) because of network restriction at the university i am at. They blocked many ports, and wont willingly open up random ports for students on campus, so the only port they opened (regarding TS) was 8767. Now my guild mostly consists of russian people, and they dont speak the best english, so they said to me, if i can find a way so that i can come on TS again, they will do it.

Is there anyway that a server admin can change the port of their server? Now the server is rented from a provider, so im not sure of total access has been granted. Is this at all possible, or is the only option to find a different server provider that can offer us a server with the port 8767?

Help on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Regards,

Richard.

But im required to be on the same server as 50 people.

Im wanting to change the current port of the server, not host a new one.

Just a superadmin can change the serverport of a virtual server, so you should ask your provider.

You could try to tunnel the connection, but I've got not enough knowledge of this subject ...

But try the forum-search. This question was asked noumerous times.
