Is it possible to run this off my domain?

I pay monthly for a domain. And I know its got to be possible to run my TS server off of the domain for easier use of all my site users. Im rather new to all this stuff... Is it possible? If so how?

There is a difference between teh domain and the webspace

Domain - The web address - ie goteamspeak.com

Webspace - Space for a website

If you have root access to the box - you can, if it just web space, then you cant

You need to route your domain to your server.

I think you have to contact your domain-provider, so he has to do this for you.

im not sure if you have to actually

if he is talking about using the same domain for website & ts and they all in same server all you need to do then is to put the ports at the end of the domain so its

(presumes that 8767 is the port your using)

that should work
make sure the ini file is set up right as well and all should be fine

Since teamspeak defaults to 8767, you can just open the client and point it to userdomain.com and you're in.

As long as we're splitting hairs and all. ^_^

I can connect to ts using the ip address but I cannot using my domain name. I can connect to my web page using my domain name. My web server is on the same computer as my ts server. any thoughts?

Are you trying with www. on it?

As teh www. and the normal domain could be mapped to different ip addresses

Nevermind -- I was running ts on my laptop temporary for testing purposes instead of my normal server. Problem solved.
