Disable unregistered users from connecting

Hi folks,

I have just set up a TS2 server on a Windows 2003 server. This is just for the use of me and 3 friends who are all registered users.

I have set a password on the server to prevent random people connecting, but I would also like to prevent unregistered folks from connecting at all.

Could someone tell me if this is this possible?

Many thanks,
DaGoaty :-)>

It's not possible that I'm aware of, but you can try the next-best thing.

Check the permissions for Anonymous/Unregistered users. Revoke the permission to join registered channels.

Now, if an unregistered user *does* login to your server, they'll be limited to the Default channel unless/until a SA moves them.

I've already made that change for those very reasons. Just trying a bit of paranoid security.

Thanks for the answer, I'll stop hunting now
