quick fix that could save a match

something unusual happened last night during a tribes2 match, that could be deadly serious in the future *g* luckily there was only 30 seconds left when this happened...

basically, the server crashed, rebooted, or went down for whatever reason.. that isn't so bad, but on the client side, it pops up a window telling you you are disconnected... this then caused half our teammates to drop to the desktop, and UE'd the other half (unhandled exception - basically T2's way of telling you it crashed )

I was the only guy that wasn't affected, since I play in windowed mode *g* anyway, it didn't cost us the match, this time

so, my suggestion is instead of popping up a window, make a nifty voice say "server disconnected for unknown reason" or something less intrusive than a popup window...

thanks!

I've gotten the same popup, but I don't think it's T2 that's UE'ing. It's TS that's doing it, and it looks like it's non-fatal. Except that TS has to be restarted to recover. It's just really annoying that it shoves T2 into the background to report this.

I normally run T2 in a 1280x1024 window on a 1600x1200 desktop on a 20" monitor, with TS running alongside so I can see who's talking. So it's easy to see which program went toes-up.

(TS2 is supposed to have an SDK targeted at game writers, and I'm hoping this can be used with T2 scripting to show who's talking from inside the full-screen game.)
