No Sound Card??

TDSoundOut.Open(DirectSoundCreate): No sound driver is available for use.

I bought a new sound card. I went from Sound Blaster Live to Sound Blaster Audiogy. When I went to connect to TeamSpeak, it gave me this error. I uninstalled and reinstalled several times. I installed it on my D drive instead of my C drive once. It doesn't work. Ventrilo works fine for me. I can hear music and my games. I just don't know how to make TeamSpeak work again. It was working fine until I installed my new sound card. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

That wasn't it, but I had wave checked instead of whatever it is supposed to be. Thanks for the help =)

This is a silly error that had me stumped last week.

I upgraded my Soundcard drivers, and then 2 days later fired up TeamSpeak to join my server:

TDSoundOut.Open(DirectSoundCreate): No sound driver is available for use.

WTF? In the client, I looked at > Settings > Options: Sure enough, card was there?

Then, I sussed. It wasn't selected (EVEN though highlighted).

So go:

Settings > Options: slect you card in the list box, and hit 'Apply'.

Does anybody know if a VIA AC'97 Audio Controller (WDM) is a good sound card? Is it even a sound card?

I have no idea. I had a SoundBlaster Live card and it didn't have a recorder with it. That is why I bought the SoundBlaster Audigy card. It has a recorder with it that lets me record my voice over music that is playing on my computer. I also play Raven Shield and I hear more of the sounds I need to hear, like footsteps, with it.
