re help
mechwarrior 4 BLACK KNIGHT is the game my system is a pentium 2 windows 98 se and the card is an avance c400 i can run it using wave out but its direct that i cannot use the only snag with wave out is that i cant hear the game sound

Use the sound tab in dxdiag.exe (the DirectX diagnostic tool) to turn down Hardware Acceleration.

This should help.
