I made an animated *.gif Icon. But it didnt work. I knew that this is not possible, because it showed only the first picture of the *.gif. But is this maybe one day possible to have animated Icons? It would be nice to have, but if not is also no problem.
Have you ever tried to use search on forums before creating a new thread?
The answer from developers was quite clear: No it will not be possible. And not even be thought of.
Animated Pictures will never work on TS3.
Developer could it, but they won't it. ;)
I searched but didnīt found anythink.
Only the banner is able to use animated gif files. Other won't be included as SpWiRa already said before. So please read what other user answer.

I though it would be great to have .gif or any file similar that can go in frames be allow in TS3 in the user's or channel description. If they are allow, how would you do it?
Update
We plan to offer animated gif's in Channel description and for an Avatar.
But this message here does not mean, that it will build in! It's planned and our current test client supports this feature.
It is also possible to stop animations per client side.
