A NSFW-warning option when uploading a new avatar. For those guys with hentai avatars eg so you don't have to delete their 18+ pics.
Hello,
I've got some suggestions too i listed them down below with an explanation.
1. Embedded images.
Why? Well its useful because you don't have to actually open the picture you can already see it. And also it might be a lot
safer because its possible to have IP trackers and other stuff inside links and or pictures.
2. Server data store
As we know its possible to send files over and store them on your server just like a normal ftp server.
I might be wrong but so far i know there is no option to have the ftp data store outside the server files. Like you run your
server on drive 1 and you have a ftp channel made for files and everything that goes in that channel is saved
only on drive 2.
this way you are able to store massive files on your server for other people.
Maybe support external storage devices too? like MEGA Google drive Dropbox etc. would be awesome.
3. And about the chat i really do like the chat functions of other voip programs like steam chat, skype. You can as i send send
picures embedded, send gifs. you can see history even from when you were offline i would really love this.
Well suggestion 4 xD make FTP encrypted
I use it all the time for small files like pictures or mods for games i share them with friends like this
Well you shouldn't use FTP either because it's the same trash
Why don't you use OneDrive or Google Drive in combination with Boxcryptor (https://www.boxcryptor.com) to share files with your friends?
You can move the data store very easily. On the same machine, simply replace the files/ directory with a symbolic link to the actual file store.
For network storage, mount the network storage and create symbolic links to the mounted directory. Or directly mount into an empty files/ directory before the server is started for the first time.
I am willing to suggest a channel feature called channel admin notes. (This feature can be attached to every channel created and the notes can be seen by the admins(or whoever gets the permission to view it). It will help us to keep track of when the channel was created, active or not when the channel or the bots need renewal etc.
Such effort for sharing public mods and game screenshots...
For screenshots I recommend some program like ShareX or alternative software, they upload it directly to your linked image hoster accounts and copy the link into your clipboard. Then you just drop the link in the chat and it gets rendered.. oh... wait. Not in TeamSpeak :(
I wanna add another suggestion for TS5 (I think this can also be added to ts3)
Server History: They can add a server history (list of servers we connected in the past) it makes things very much easier for people to remember where they last joined if they forget the server IP or the domain address. (Just like chrome history :))
For TS3 there is already a plugin for it - Connection History
Yes I am aware of the plugin but everything should not be embedded in a plugin but added as a feature inside teamspeak itself. If we claim to be one of the best VoIP's it shouldn't need plugins to complete the basic features required for proper operations. (We can't just tell everyone in the world who connects to our servers to just go and download this plugin to keep the server history and stuff.)
Start client with non gui to make ts bots more easy
Please add server side text only channel like in Discord with mentions (@user, @all, ...) and maybe embeds.
Do you talk about that? or about some discord-copies?

Serverside Webhooks would be great. This would simplify the process to create Bots!
Thank you.

I also have a few suggestions for the client:
I think it would be nice if you could have the server banner permanently at the top right like in TS3. Of course only optional. It would also be cool that if you click on a chat it doesn't replace the server or channel information. I liked the structure and the overview of TS3, namely actually very good.
I also liked the server chat, because you always saw what was happening on your server. Yes I know that below is the item "Recent Server Events", but I think it's nicer if you can display this permanently below. I know that it probably bothers most people, so it should be optional too.
To all those who have complained about the rights system or have suggested improvements: Yes I'm with you on most things, like server group channel rights, but maybe it would be nice if the rights system were in the client at all, because I haven't found it yet. Please correct me if I'm wrong
And I have a question because my BB codes aren't working anymore. Only a few of them still work. Have they been abolished, replaced or just not added to the client yet?
There is one more thing I would like to see, which many people probably wish for, and that is the Only-Text-Channel. Yes, I know there is now a chat system, which I think is really cool with the groups. But although I always hated Discord and hardly never used it, I found the Only-Text-Channel the only good thing about Discord. I know that the TS3 client and server will have to be reprogrammed for this, but I think this thing is so essential for many communities and also a thing to "destroy" Discord a little bit more. As I said broadly, I have never actually used Discord myself, but still I miss these things a bit, because when I used Discord, I found them extremely handy to just quickly exchange and ask a question without having to go straight to the support of the server.
Thanks for reading and I hope that maybe a little of this will be implemented.
Starting to get used to TS5.
First thing that I noticed is there is no PTT delay setting like in TS3. Need that back in.
As a server admin, I definitely need a way to keep the server activity page up so I can see people spamming channel switches as well as the info page that told me the IP addresses and idle times. Having the UUID displayed though is a great change.
TS5 lacks the 'minimise to tray' option.. which i think is a must.
I would like to be able to leave voice messages to my friends in the chat, even if they have a hard time on the offline network. for example, a friend launches a teampeak and receives a gooax message in a chat. For example, how it is done in viber.
SERVER FEATURES -
-Implement better file management like the option for malware scanners and to block certain file types and also add temp files that will delete after awhile and file owner ship information like who created it etc. Also include per folder and file permissions you can set on folders that you created or if you have permission all of the folders. Also add the ability to limit the total size of files a user can store on the server aswell as the max for everyone on the server so people dont fill up the servers storage
-Force encryption to be on always and by default. THIS IS A MUST.
Client Features
- Make the connection status show ping when you click it and packetloss/ data information.
- Add the ability to send files in chat. Like temp files that will erase after awhile from the server and can be turned on or off.
- This one is for self hosters. You should be able to see all of the details about the clients like you do on TS3 like ip address's packetloss sent data etc. But maybe in the hosted servers and chats dont allow people to get each others ips. But if someone gets to see your ip you should get to see theres easily without having to use tools like wireshark etc.
- Add advanced permission management like on ts3 and improve the basic permissions to make it more viable for non experienced users.
There is no ts5 server as the new ts runs on the ts3 server. Furthermore the option to encrypt everything by default has been around for ages. Just edit the virtual server and turn it on there.
I will update this thread from time to time to give more feedback.
First of all i really like the new design but id like to suggest a little addition to the non compact layout:
- Add an option to display badges and group icons on the right like in the compact tree and vertically center the names.
Features im missing:
- The server chat. I know that you can see a few events on the bottom right of the channel tree but i would like to see a full history of what happened like in the old client. Plus without a server chat it is not possible to send a message to everyone on the server.
- The "connection quality" icons dont show numbers anymore. The tooltip should show them just like the old client.
- Persistent server chats. Something like the server chat in the old client but the messages in this chat will be saved on the server. This way everyone connecting to the server will be able to read it. Even if they were not connected when the message was sent. (I know this will require a new server version. But i was kind of expecting this to be included looking at the previews.)
Bugs i encountered so far:
- When changing the layout using the buttons on the top right of the channel tree and pressing "Mouse-4" right after, the layout changes back to the previous one. Just like going back to the last page in a browser. (Mouse-4 is my "mute sound" hotkey)
- When deleting a channel with multiple sub-channels the sound "channel deleted" stacks up.
And one last thing for now: I understand that a web/browser based UI will require more resources than a native UI and that this beta is most likely not optimised but i think this is a little too much :)

We need mute settings as soon as possible. Just to be able to turn off notifications for certain groups or chats.
Because when I turned off notifications for messages to not hear group chat i don't also hear pokes and when i'm in game i don't hear them or see them. And when I exited the game i had like 20 pokes there. :D
Can you please put in chat channels so we can chat in
You can start selling your chat channels to the server owners. In that way you can somehow earn some $$ and also give us the good feature. Maybe like 1-2 chat channels come for free, licensed servers and sponsored servers can get a few advantages like 3 chat channels free. For more chat channels you can ask for money.
But the pricing for per chat channel shouldn't exceed more than $5-10 a year otherrwise its worthless. You should not limit the slot system on the channel as its a compulsory feature for all users on the server and it will be worthless if its limited to 64 users only.
this is teamSPEAK not teamWRITE... you know?
you want people to come to teamspeak, you add teamwrite feature.
In order to create a community (a healthy, interactive, working, coordinating) community you give them a place to interact.
Success of a VOIP that allows gaming groups/gaming communities to grow properly then you need to do that.
1) Add chat only channel.
2) Add a proper functional teamspeak sided bot system or show us how to make them. (must be either cost free or at a very nominal charge.)
3) Keep 10 slots free (or at least increase it to 5)
4) Chat only channels should never be restricted with users. (not like 64 users at max only.)
5) Add steam integration with Teamspeak. (Most important feature)
6) The icons which are arranged improperly on top of the TS window should be properly arranged in a straight line.
7) All the client settings, activating mic, muting self should be added in a settings type of icon right next to the name. People can't find that small settings icon on top in the search bar. Maybe keep the settings bar elsewhere but it should be very nicely visible.
8) Add a few fun games like facebook that people and kids can play together within the community itself.
9) Separatation for global chat and server current channel/server. That global chat has nothing to do with server and it should not be placed there.

Add steam integration so myteamspeak accounts are associated with steamid
Add full notification toggles, for pokes etc.
Add BBCode in TS5 chat
Add the permission system for server admins
I would like the function of several sound profiles back. Where you could choose different sound profiles for different servers. This feature was especially helpful when traveling on different servers, even at the same time.
- SERVER WIDE TEXT ONLY CHANNELS This is my most wanted feature. It's the one thing I miss from Teamspeak compared to Discord. A text channel where everyone connected to the server can write and post in, regardless in which voice channels they are.
- Together with that, Server-wide Text log, meaning, you can see all text messages in text only channels even though you were offline at the time.
- Make it possible to default to Channel Chat when you press on a Channel. Or a dual view that displays the Channel chat and Channel information at the same time. Edit: Just noticed that this is already possible
- Ability to see your ping in MS.
- Also, compact view with avatars like Stefan92 mentioned here
I don’t understand how to configure groups and privilege system?
