So far my biggest request is to allow us to put chat back at the bottom. I have kept my Teamspeak client thin and compact for the past 5 years, and I REALLY don't want to switch away from the server to check every time someone sends a link in chat. Please allow us to open the chat in a compact view at the bottom like Teamspeak 3.
Secondly, allow us to see more detailed properties on users again. On TS3, you can right click and view properties on a user that lets you see their ping, packet loss, and idle time. There doesn't seem to be a way to do this on TS5, and you also can't set the connection status on the bottom of the client to show ping like you can in TS3.
Like Zarrex, the one thing I like to see. When you shrink down TS5 from 3 columns to two columns, I like to see the channel chat move to the bottom and span the two columns, so instead of 1 row and two columns, it goes to two columns and two rows. If you go to a single column, then the chat again would be at the bottom. Have it as an option so for those of us that like to have that, it's there. That was the big thing I liked about TS3 over Discord.
Attachment 18573
That is an example of what I, and I'm guessing Zarrex is talking about.
Currently, when fully opened, you have your bookmarks on the left, channels in the middle, and on the right, chat and other info. But when you make it more narrow, it goes from 3 columns to 2 columns, and then from 2 to 1 columns with the chat being hidden. Why not just put it at the bottom or giving the ability to have it there.
Just a thought.
i would like to see the same as what Corpse has said along with a black theme to the feel dark mode theme
I always use, PTT, but I see that sometimes it doesn't work, many times when I'm with a game, tried starting as an administrator and problem persists, does anyone else happen to him?
I must agree with what Corpse and Zarrex said, 1..we need to have the option to show the chat at the bottom of the channel list, when in a game as a Admin on our TS server, it is a very difficult to monitor the activities on the server, and be able to respond in chat when i run TS in a thin profile, i dont care for the large foot print that TS5 is making me use to be able to see both at the same time, i think we need to be able to have the option to place the chat on the bottom like in the illustrations that Corpse shows, also i would love to see a Server chat tab, as well as the room chat tab, again as a Admin it is beneficial to be able to see who comes onto the server and what room they goto, and be able to follow the activity of everyone that comes onto the server, and the way that it was done on TS3 was a good way to do the chat, with the tabs at the bottom, one for the server and one for the room chats
good idea :)
need 1 server wide text only channel like in ts3 just for admins/owners to annuance their events :)
(average users don't need right to write here)
server event is very good now just i miss the option to klikk on a user name on the list and got options like in ts3 ban, mute, server groups.. etc
Hey, ow.. wew hi.
I'm missing a useful feature compared to TeamSpeak3.
Clicking on a client or channel once will result in highlighting it.

Attachment 18591
If TeamSpeak3 is running in the foreground not minimized or in system tray
I can use arrow key up or arrow key down to scroll inside the client/channel tree.
This feature doesn't exist in the current TeamSpeak5 BETA build.
When ever the client is in the foreground and you currently don't have the client/channel chat-tab
open you should be able to scroll inside the server tree with the arrow keys.
This grants quicker access to view user or channel details instead of clicking on every single client or channel.
What I miss from the client is:
- The server banner will never update again after it is connected! I have a banner that changes time and staff every minute but this client is unable to update.
- You would need a detailed, full-information client status. (Which also showed packet loss in ts3 and all the information)
- I couldn't find the "Server connection information" section anywhere. When you roll over to the server name.
- It really bothers me that I can't see server events all the time (Kicks, bans, and other information) and even if I see it, it only has a small amount of information.
- I can't find the main chat where everyone can message.
- These icons in the cube really annoy me, you can't find icons that look normal on the client.
- Server banner size is very compressed ...
- Cannot bind to mouse side button (eg microphone mute). Because it violently wants to jump back to a previous menu item.
- And the [center][size=+1] codes still not working :/
Yeah this one's good. Teamspeak5 right now feels really bad in comparison to how ts3 could be configured to use dockwidgets, allowing a lot more customisation regarding the overall layout of the application.
The navigation going around every screen with the application is the most unintuitive software I've used in a while. Elements move around the whole application, where they should just be grouped together and remain on screen.
Found it. This button really needs to be make more visible, specially with the logo behind it, took me a while:

It sucks that we can't choose an image from our computer, and it only let us use a link to a hosted image /facepalm.
Somehow the image must be uploaded somewhere or else nobody will see it.
Images from server also can be usedYes the edit button is currently misplaced. We will work on this.Code:ts3image://picture.jpg?channel=12&path=/
In addition to my last reply https://forum.teamspeak.com/threads/...301#post476301
Since server version 3.10.0 channel banners are in.
There are 2 general channel types, regular channels and spacers.
The TeamSpeak3 client displays every channel with the same height (e.g. in pixels) and makes no difference betweens spacers or regular ones.
TeamSpeak5 does.
Attachment 18607
Spacers found there way into TeamSpeak to organize the server tree.
They are still the best way to do this job.
In combination with the new channel banners they offer new possibilities
to "design" your server tree and make it even more organized/clear.
:(
A little frustating is the fact TeamSpeak5 cuts the channels height without icons - spacers -
which makes the use of channel banners in spacers nearly useless (like in my screenshot).
Doesn't it make sense to display spacers with the same channel height as regular ones?
Maybe add a option to import old chats from ts3 client? Maybe some guys needs the history
Yeah, I understand, but a simple autoupload system like users Avatars would be better. Files gets uploaded to the server database and then everyone can see it, banners should work the same way. Right now is quite confusing because if we need to upload it to an external website we never know how long will that last (imgur or similars).
About:If we need to use then it's likely that only the server admin will be able to do that. Instead I suggest that the owner of each channel should just be able to upload a banner to the server (if permissions allow it).Code:ts3image://picture.jpg?channel=12&path=/
Glad to hear the placement of the button will be worked on.
why?
it stored locally on his own pc, and they can use ts3 option to log private chats or chatlog viever addon.. the can save logs anytime in to a txt or word file if its important...
why need import options from ts3 to ts5 clients? :O
ts5 chats is stored via myteamspeak services , not loclally.
so what you want is nonsense :/
Yes, auto uploading to selected channel if permission allows and placing right link in dialog is something we could think off.
Will forward that idea.
PS you then still do not know how long the image lasts on server ;). Only hosted on your own environment you know that.
Ps #2 moved our discussion out of TS5 Channel Banners ideal size of images?. Topic is not the same.
Wird es wieder die Funktion geben User als Freund zu makieren wie in Teamspeak. Das fehlt mir am meisten
For me the best features of TS3 were the small (narrow) UI and the ability to make it stay over other apps. It would be really good to see that feature in TS5 also.
Hello how about if you make a login panel for the download of TS5 and only after the login it can download and not just share the link I think this is better if not every user can download everything
Would it be possible to get the text to voice feature to be back in the TS5 beta from TS3. I use it so that I do not have to look at who joined the channel I am in as it just gets announced to me.
I registered to come say this. A lot of my discord friends who still will go on teamspeak from time to time say that the only thing teamspeak had over discord is the ability to know who entered the server/channel/etc. This feature is way too underrated. I cant even use TS5 full time because I love that feature too much. It sucks because TS5 is looking really nice IMO.
i can't find this setting
Attachment 18642
In TS5 client
open Settings -> Notifications -> Scroll down to the end -> Under Warnings activate "You are talking while your microphone is muted"
I miss the feature that you get the last message you've sent when you press the up arrow key in chat.
Could we please have a volume slider somewhere quickly accessible, without going to the settings?
We used to have that on TS3 on the customizable toolbar
It could be somewhere near the afk and mute mic/audio buttons. Would be nice if it was toggleable aswell for those who don't like it
Here's an image, how it used to look on TS3
Attachment 18646
It would be nice if the TeamSpeak Addon Developer badge would link to the myTeamSpeak profile page of an addon developer. I believe this would improve ease of access and engagement.
It would be nice to connect to a server on startup and minimize the app to the system tray like ts3 does! :)
The square icon just beside the channel's name should be colored just like the bar near it. So that way, it will be easier to see at the first look, what type of channel it is. And even if there's an icon, you can see it highlighted with the color.
I think that could be a great idea. Cause actually it's not so easy to see the type of channel.
An other good idea is to able the users to save their personalized statut near the chat statut with a drop-down menu
It would be nice if new channel banner feature work with transparency all the way to the client background. Currently client accept transaparency but below is additional spacer color instead of actual teamspeak background.
And now it looks like this:

Dear Administration,
1. TeamSpeak5 is missing the function that was on TeamSpeak3. By right clicking on a user, he could be found in the channel list. Now you have to search for it manually, which is tiring for large servers. I suggest you add this function to TeamSpeak5.
2. In addition, each time switching between servers to TeamSpeak5 takes us to the top of the list. This is annoying. TeamSpeak5 should remember the position of the view in the channel list. This is currently the case for TeamSpeak3, so I think it won't be a big problem for TS developers.
3.removed. We don't want to advertise this in our forum TeamSpeak5, I suggest that you do it so that it is no longer possible because it is annoying for TS server administrators. In addition, they change the IP users through, for example, VPN or other internet and the lock is removed. I don't know if it's technically possible, but it would be good to fix it.
4. Currently TeamSpeak5 does not support BBCODE probably (at least in text messages and channel descriptions), which can be inconvenient and causes a lot of shortcomings in the visual zone of TeamSpeak5 on servers. I suggest you unify all this so that you don't have problems browsing channels or reading and sending messages to other users.
5. Currently on TeamSpeak, the only administrator distinction is server icons. I suggest additionally adding the option to edit the nickname color for specific user groups. For example, so that the administrator could display in red, the moderator in green, and so on. This would make it easier to recognize different TeamSpeak server ranks.
In addition, you can earn on it, because it would be a good idea to buy the right package that would allow the use of a specific nickname color on TeamSpeak servers.
I cordially greet and invite you to discuss the above-mentioned proposals.
If you have any problems or other questions, please contact me at the e-mail address provided in the account configuration (this is also the e-mail address used for your myteamspeak account).
I think the idea of server rank colors is great! Many times young users are fooled that someone who is not an administrator is impersonating him. This would solve the problem to a great extent. I am in favor of the addition! These colors could be from the HTML color palette (#XXXX)
Some of them are on our list. Can not get into details.
The ban thing is not related to the TS5 client & probably never will be solved in a way user can not get around it.
You should force user to use myTS on your server and ban the myTS ID in case user needs to be banned.
Ban user by IP adress was never be the best solution.
You can consider force use of MyTS ID as dante696 mentioned
or
create a special server group wich will lock user without posibility to speak, type, change channel, poke
He can only give up and disconnect. He can also change identities, but for a hard time you can increase security level above 23 or 29. User need to make some effort to reconnect and wait hours to create new identity.
Below you can find example for such a locking rank:

Hello:o
1.The first suggestion is to add an online user counter to free server slots, e.g. 10/100
In this red spot:
Attachment 18694
2.The second suggestion is to add the channel chat cleaning option.
In a place marked red here:
Attachment 18695
3.The third suggestion is to add the option to set a background banner behind the description and user avatar.
In this place marked in red:
Attachment 18696
4.The fourth suggestion is to add a country flag instead of a globe icon.
Here in red:
Attachment 18692
Add the option to change the name of the group after creating it and the option to change the group icon, and as I mentioned in the third proposal, you can also add a banner change here;)
