The fact you use "hope" in these announcements is ironic. Because if it doesnt then we have another month of waiting before anything happens and I am not using beta builds on purpose to avoid any...
Could you please fix the degraded performance on big servers as a priority? Its ridiculous that me deleting a channel with 5 subchannels was able to drop 250 users on our server. Utterly ridiculous...
I haven't tried the 3.11.0 beta yet, but just wondering.
Do you guys actually know why these spikes have occured? Any particular feature that has led to this?
Feels like everything was fine then...
If the updates will be more substantial than just bugfixes, then that will be understandable.
It is not, however, appriopriate to fix a few bugs and announce a whole new version with a months wait...
The fact that pre-releases are kept for a month before official launch is a bit scary tbh, if this is the rate we will get updates at, then we might be here a while before we see anything...
If it helps, I can also confirm the issue - it arises usually when a client tries to delete channels or do any action that involves anything for that matter - be it moving or anything.
I'm running...
Have you checked this isn't a problem with the query language class you are using? Some third-party classes out there may be outdated and so may therefore not work.
You have not provided any logs,...
Lets start with the semantics.
"last seen" implies that we want something to check when the client is last seen, so if they are online now, the variable should be updated to the current...
I don't have this issue but I didn't see no update in the app store just fyi.
Great, thanks for the clarification :)
I am aware, but in our case I don't exactly use the plugin SDK, I just use the raw data our remote client receives, hence I asked if it was possible to allow the client to have access to this command...
This is slightly out of topic with the above, but still.
Would it be possible for the client to have an option to send the query command channelInfo? e.g. so that we can access things like...
Yes, but again, thats not really a proper fix, these things should be accessible and working from the client, especially for the less able users ;)
That doesn't really solve the problem though does it? What a great fix, well done guys! (hope you can sense the sarcasm).
The trouble is, I can't even seem to remove that plugin from my settings tab, because when I try to uninstall it it all crashes anyway.
@ScP you should make it so that the plugins can be removed...
Thats all well and good but I am not gonna sit and rewrite all our systems. I'm just saying it could be an option.
Personally, I think that showing the spacer tag in the channel info when you click on a channel should be optional.
We use it as a way to differentiate between zones in our server because there is...
I have sent you some crash dumps privately too.
The client crashes on me using the latest beta when it is closed.
Not sure if this may be a bug (yay) but something has broken with drag and drop in this client beta, for me anyway.
Mainly talking about -
the Channel Groups of Client dialog to drag and drop a...
Had no issues since we've been using the experimental version 5.
I cannot determine whether this is actually thanks to the version or also the fact I've limited our usage of query though.
Have...
Installed, will keep you updated.
Had a thought this issue may be something to due with overloading of downloads - be that avatars or icons.
I'm gonna try and force overload later today on a...
Do I get it too?
I restarted it when I was half asleep so I didnt bother downloading the logs cause there was nothing in them anyway, just like last time they just stopped being created.
It froze. I use crash and...
Yeah, I take that back. It froze over night. Nothing in the logs still though and no core dump.
Had the beta2 running on our setup since Tuesday.
No errors so far, no query crashes either.
Are you guys expecting this to be fixed with beta2 or are we very much still in the dark?
Not easy on a Voice vps hosted environment, hence I asked.
Just a general question - is this being investigated, or is this one of those things that will simply fix itself on its own a few months...
I can give you logs from two cases but I can also tell you there is nothing in there. Are core dumps something special?
Dante could you please pm me the special version you talked about earlier? I want to see if that solves the problem in my case.
Thanks
Its just happened again. This time I managed to get the logs but they show nothing. They just stopped being produced at a certain point and the process hang re-occured just like last time.
I can confirm that this issue still happens on 3.7.1.
I unfortunately have no logs to support this, as I am hosting on a "voice vps" which rebooted my server - this of course automatically cleans...
The newest beta seems to crash upon startup, I've sent crash reports, hope that helps, but in the meantime I can't actually start TeamSpeak. Can I reinstall or leave it to help reproduce it?
Thanks
there is reason to rant, because we never get informed of changes like this and it just makes our job more difficult than it should be :)
Digging a little deeper, I've just realised that this ID has been changed - it used to be 148, it is now 149 (in a new server version perhaps?). Great to see Teamspeak letting everyone know, as per...
I'm using the query interface to check someone's groups and display them in the correct order, by value of i_group_sort_id. However, upon upgrading to server 3.2.0, I have noticed that the...
so its taking 3 years and its still not solved? Things like this add up to the reasons we feel you guys don't care. I know its not you dante, you're just the frontman of these things, but still. Sort...
