Shouldn't be any issue with Ubuntu. Actually I wouldn't be supprised if the ping was that high in Windows due to network package limitations in windows. Anyways, tried connected to any other...
Unless someone adds it into the repository, no. But seriously, it's harder to install it the way you want rather than just doubleclick the installation file.....?
Must be some issue with Fedoras PulseAudio then.
I have used TeamSpeak 3.0.0-beta36 [Build: 12815] 64 bit since it was released 8th of November. About 4 hours a day since that. With some extremely...
Someone should move this thread to Server Support -> Linux.
I use TeamSpeak 3 daily, no problems at all since they made a PulseAudio backend. Before that I couldn't use the client at all.
My TS3 Client now, connected to 2 servers, is using 2% CPU. I got a...
Or you use Wine-Pulse.
Let me rephrase the questions:
* Does the controller work at all in Linux.
I assume you're talking about Linux here. Can you open gedit or any text editor and press the buttons on the gamepad...
You bet we are. Tierd of restarting TS3 randomly while raiding in World of Warcraft. :-P
* Does the controller work at all?
* Have you tried to press the key-button on your keyboard and it works?
Since you cba to do some researching yourself:
http://forum.teamspeak.com/showpost.php?p=237286&postcount=65
libQtCore.so.4 should be in teamspeaks root folder.
ts3client_runscript.sh
* Checked Client Log?
* Sure the client is not using lots of cpu thus making it operate weirdly, since there's a open bug with pulseaudio.
True that. But I would rather give a modern linux dist a try, but that's yet again personal choise. Never been fond of windows software on servers. :)
Amazing work to get it to work on such old version of Windows. But from personal curiosity, why keep such a stoneage operating system?
Hm. Seems like the FMOD-bug has reached to the windows-client as well.
Hm. Interesting.
I've actually experienced this myself, but I thought it was related to my mouse since it's acting all wierd since I installed Windows (Worked fine in LinuxMint for ~1 year).
...
Have you checked your Client Log for possible errors? (Ctrl+L)
You have setup a server on your laptop which you want your friend(s) to connect to and I assume you use Windows Vista/Seven, right?
If that's the case, then you problem ain't to find the right...
Quick and easy question:
What is your uploadspeed at max?
Edit
You can go to http://speedtest.net/ to find out if you don't know that already.
Ubuntu clients (And Linux-dists in general that uses PulseAudio) have issues with the client. Not the server.
It was a completely clean install, thus it SHOULD use port 9987, which it DIDN'T.
And now I can't even force it to listen on port 9987 via default_voice_port since it's obviously some bug. The...
Uh, wtf?
I have not changed anything from default.
Edited ts3server_startscript.sh to change it back to the default port, since it for some stupid reason sets it to 9988 somewhere. Still...
Story
I reinstalled my computer yesterday due to new harddrive. TS3 Server had been running perfectly fine since beta 16 was released.
So today I have tried to login as admin again after my...
Adding token to the 'servercreate' strin worked.
Got another error to tackle now:
What's up with all the s'ses in the error reports? o0
Doesn't anyone have a tutorial how to make a Virtual Server? Or something?
I'd consider myself a advance user, but this adminsystem make me feel like a complete rookie.
I manage rights for...
I created a own server query user at first (Jaykay).
But now I used the 'serveradmin' with the password provided from the very first start.
Same error:

This is a known bug which seems to be standing still right now. Not a words from the dev regarding how it's going to fix it.
Which operating system are you using?
Hi there.
I have a main server, but I do want to create another virtual server. But since the admin system is cryptic in TS3, I have no idea how to do it.
I've been trying to do something in...
Did you just add:
to your apt-source list and added the signing key and then did a update?
Which distribution do you use? And what version are you talking about?
The version in Linux Mint 8 repository is 0.9.19, latest version of PulseAudio was released 23/11 -09 and that was 0.9.21.
A bit off-topic..
I can actually say that TS3 worked fine for me in LinuxMint 7 x64, with x64 client and PulseAudio. Well, the cpu bug occured from time to time, but then I just restarted the client...
That's a FMOD issue which they are (I hope) working hard to fix.
Same issue in Linux Mint 8 'Helena' Universal x86, Logitech MX500.
Did you actually change both the sh-script AND TeamSpeak3 executable?
