    domain name to point at server

    i know about SRV records but is there a way to set up so that i can just use my domain name to connect to my server
    aka

    if i have wlgts3.com how can i get that to connect to my server.

    the domaine name is not linked to anything els no website or nothing. i run my own vps that has cpanel i have tryed some way but it keep dumping me onto my main teamspeak server that is on the same ip as my cpanel

    put this entries in the DNS Server:

    teamspeak A [your.ts.server.ip]
    _ts3._udp SRV teamspeak.[yourdomain.tld] [port]

    or even easier: if you use the standard port 9987 just put:

    @ A [your.ts.server.ip]

    Use the domain registrar's NS(Name Servers) and just set an A record.

    Just point "@" and or "*" under A records to the IP address of your server.
