Creating group and give them voice permission in specific channels?

    Hello,

I recently purchased a TeamSpeak 3 server and am using it while playing games with friends.
Now during the games, random people join the TeamSpeak server and enter our channel and start talking crap.
I want to stop that from happening and limit the unknown members their speaking permission, while creating a group for my friends who have speaking permission in the majority of the channels.

Problem is, I have no idea how to set this up. I just watched the TeamSpeak tutorial videos and I got a better understanding of it, but still do not know how to accomplish what I would like to do.

So basically I would want something like this..

    [Teamspeak Server Name]
-[Default / Welcome Channel] (No speaking permission for all)
--[Guest Channel] (Speaking permission for all)
-[Game 1 Channel] (Speaking permission for me and my friends)
--[Group 1] (Speaking permission for me and my friends)
--[Group 2] (Speaking permission for me and my friends)
-[Game 2 Channel] (Speaking permission for me and my friends)
--[Group 1] (Speaking permission for me and my friends)
--[Group 2] (Speaking permission for me and my friends)
    - [AFK] (No speaking permission (Got this done via voice permission set to 5)

Could someone explain to me how to do this? It would be much appreciated.
    Thanks!

It is possible to assign a certain amount of talk power to server groups. If the value is higher then the value of the channel, clients can speak in the channel.

Since you want guests to not be able to talk in the majority of channels, simply edit the guest group and assign "i_client_talk_power" a value of -10
Then edit the guest channel and set Needed Talk Power to -10
For the channels in which nobody should talk, simply edit them and set Needed Talk Power to 80
For the channels in which you and your friends can talk nothing needs to be done, except that you and your friends need to be given the normal group.

There are other ways of doing this of course but this is the easiest and fastest.

    Thank you both for replying

I went with your suggested way Chris and it's working just fine.
