How to backup and reinstall bookmarks?

On earlier version, you could in your :::

    C:\Users\"XXX"\AppData\Roaming\TS3Client

    folder, find your bookmarks.ini

file, so if you copi that file, you could recover your bookmarks, after a clean windows install.

Now, after I have installed Windows 8, I can not find any file named bookmarks.ini ?????

I use windows 8 - 64 bit, the ts3 client is installed in the folder:

    C:\Program Files\TeamSpeak 3 Client

but either in the earlier version folder, as mentioned above or in this folder, any bookmarks.ini file is to be found.

Now, I have manually inserted the bookmarks again, but for further use, how do I backup the bookmarks, so I later on can reload them again???

    All Yours.

The configuration folder depends on your installation.
I guess you have selected to save the configuration under the program folder itself "C:\Program Files\TeamSpeak 3 Client\config".

    This is the reason why...
    Code:
    === Client Release 3.0.9 23 Oct 2012
+ Changed the storage format of the configuration files to a SQLite database.
Conversion is done automatically the first time the client is started, all
affected files will be moved to a backup folder.
+ Added bookmarkmanager context menu "sort by name".
As you can see the switched from ini-files to a SQLLite databease, there no bookmarks.ini anymore nor a backup/ export funktion.... this means you will need to write down your favorites atm. Lets hope that they'll will add a backup/ import funktion or someone else will do it. I saved my bookmarks also and I added the favorites now manually. Thank god I could remember the passwords

You can just take your settings.db with you and you will have everything except your identities and stored channel passwords.

    Just to explain it again...

That will say, that you cannot backup your bookmarks, you have to manually write them all down....???

And, what kind of a difference does it make, that you can backup your settings, but not your bookmarks???

huh? You can backup your bookmarks including other settings like hotkeys, contacts, etc by simply backing up the settings.db file.

    Hello @all,

iīve got a question to that case.
What shall i do, if in those settings wrong informations stored are which i want to eliminate with a new installation of TS3.
And if i restore the .db all unwanted setting are also restored. isnīt there an other solution?
Why is not there an easy solution within an ex and import button ?
    is that so complicated ?

I had to reformat an OS and would like to take some old bookmarks and transfer them to the new updated version but transferring the older files(from a backup) to the new files does not recreate em in the new one; there just doesn't seem to be the same type locations or listings in this new version as it use to be. It was a snap before now it looks completely different. BTW I do have 'ownership' and run the files as Admin.
