How to set a max value for a channel permission

    Hi folks

I'm allowing specific channel groups to create sub-channels and set the needed join power of the created sub-channel.

I solved this by granting i_channel_modify power and i_permission_modify_power to those channel groups and setting the grant value of i_channel_needed_join_power to an equal (or lower) amount.

    Now my problem:
It's possible for the user who's creating the sub-channel, to set the join power to any value he want's to. He can even set it to 100 which makes it impossible for SA's (without editing the channel beforehand) to enter the channel, because they only have a join power of 75.

Is there any way to limit the assignable value to a maximum of let's say 20?

    Thanks in advance!

This is not possbile. The min and max values for this can not be limited.

Enable skip on your server admin and no channel restriction will disturb.

Thank you very much for the quick reply, dante.

Do you mean enabling skip-flag of i_channel_join_power of the server group or setting the b_client_skip_channelgroup_permissions.
Because I think that the b_client_skip_channelgroup_permissions doesn't skips channel rights. I guess it only prevents the channel groups permission from overwriting the server group permissions and the "client specific channel rights" from overwriting the "client specific rights".

    Anyway...
Is implementing a "max value"-feature planned for the future?

Both ignore channel- and channel group permissions and should be assigned in your server group or client permission.
Skip flag is for on permission only and b_client_skip_channelgroup_permissions skips all permissions.
They do not ignore channel client permissions.

Nope it's not planned to add this. I think we rejected that somewhere here on forum.
