    You don't have to, you can continue to use SQLite without problems or having to do anything (given you're already using SQLite that is).

    I have updated my teamspeak server today (with migrating to MariaDB).

    Since then the server crashes every 20-30 minutes without any message in the log files.

    The only thing which is returned is this message on the terminal.

    unknown: debugger aborting because missing DBUG_RETURN or DBUG_VOID_RETURN macro in function "?func"
    I'm using Debian wheezy, MariaDB 10.0 and teamspeak 3.0.11 x64.

    This a MariaDB error message. Not from the TeamSpeak server.

    Which libary do you use for maria db?
    We deliver libts3db_mariadb.so with the server in version 5.5.

    Its the libmariadb.so.2 which is delivered with the libmariadbclient18 (MariaDB 10.0.14).

    I've downloaded this version and installed it, and now it's crashing every one minute. I've check the log and there is no error report. So really? Whats going on? I'm getting frustrated.

    I want to point out that I'm not experience regarding the usage of teamspeak 3. When I started to host a server on linux, I've just uploaded it and then gave the user the right permission to start the server with the command ./ts3server_startscript.sh start. So I did what I always do with a patch and that's to download the latest version on teamspeak homesite and abstract it to my teamspeak 3 folder in my server. Once that is done I use the command on linux to start up the server again. (ps. I've shutdown the server before abstracting the new files of course).

    So I'm not sure what you guys mean about the new database. What I can say is that I'm using sqlitedb, thats the file I see on my teampeak folder.

    Can someone please tell me why I lose connection every minute on my teamspeak server with the latest version?

    Maybe our configurated MariaDB lib stands in conflict with your MariaDB server.
    Does it solve the problem if you use the MariaDB 5.5 from here?

    @ oldassgamers
    Is the server crashing or do you lose the connection to your server?
    There should be a log or at least an entry in the terminal, if it does crash.

    Please offer us more details about operation system, permissions etc.
    It does crash / timeout does not help us to explain anything to you.

    The other users and I got disconnected from the server and we couldn't reconnect. But the server was still running in the background. I will try and install the latest version again later today, in a couple of hours when the server isn't as much populated, and when I'm done I'll report back here.

    Update:
    I've solved it with my friend. Instead of copy & paste the new content to the current teamspeak directory. We had to make a fresh installation. The only things we took with us was the database and the license key.

    Who said you can't?
    You can use the same connection with the same MYSQL server, but you must use the MariaDB plugin and you must convert your MYSQL DB for the MaraiDB standards.
    Are there more details about/for your question?

    Everything should be explained.

    Edit --> Always read the documentation in case you don't know what you have to do.

    In case you use a new server database
    1. Install the latest MYSQL or Maria DB Server and then create a Database and User for this Database
    2. Install the TeamSpeak server 3.0.11
    3. Create the files ts3server.ini and a ts3db_mariadb.ini
    4. Open the ts3server.ini and fill it with these parameters
    Code:
    dbplugin=ts3db_mariadb
    dbpluginparameter=ts3db_mariadb.ini
    dbsqlcreatepath=create_mariadb/
    5. Open the ts3db_mariadb.ini and fill it with this informations. Please insert your IP, Username, passwort etc.
    Code:
    [config]
     host='IP_From_MARIA_DB_SERVER'
     port='Port_Number_Of_MARIA_DB_SERVER'
     username='Database_Username"
     password='Password_For_The_User'
     database='Name_Of_your_Database'
     socket=
    6. Start the server with parameter inifile=ts3server.ini
    7. Check your server logs for success or errors

    In case you did use SQLite with server 3.0.10.3 and want to change to Maria DB
    Convert Your database to target database and then follow step 1 -7.

    In case you did use SQLite with server 3.0.10.3 and want to stay on SQLite
    Just update the server. There is nothing else you have to do.

    In case you did use MYSQL with server 3.0.10.3 just like to update the TeamSpeak server
    1. Make a backup of your existing database
    2. Install the server 3.0.11
    3. Read update_mysql_to_mariadb.txt from your Doc folder
    4. Run convert_mysql_to_mariadb.sql and mariadb_fix_latin_utf8.sql from folder (sql\updates_and_fixes)
    5. Replace all MYSQL paramters for Maria DB (shown in step 4 and 5)
    6. Start the server with parameter inifile=ts3server.ini
    7. Check your server logs for success or errors

    copy redist/libmariadb.so.2 to the root of the installation directory, next to the server binary.

    My Server runs now with MariaDB 5.5 Server + Client (newest release) but i get allways the error

    it seems so this is not only a fault by the db version
