How to copy a server without access to the files?

    Hi guys,

So my planetside outfit (clan) has been borrowing a teamspeak server from another outfit for a while now, but we would now like to move to our own hardware. The problem is that the hosts are extremely inactive and we can get hold of them to give us a copy of our server files....

Is there any way we can copy the server files ourselves? (at least the permissions would be nice, they took ages to set up)
We have full admin rights on the virtual server-

    Regards,
    Kannel

You can't export the files without having acces to the files.
You already answered your own question in your question.

How to backup the database via KVM.

Hi guys - so I have had an issue on my server where I can only access it via KVM (its a VPS that I use to run my teamspeak on). So I contacted OVH's support and they said there is nothing they can do and for me to fix the issue with KVM or backup and reinstall. So my plan is to backup the teamspeak and reinstall the VPS so I can reinstall the teamspeak.

So my question is how can I backup my "ts3user" directory with KVM.

It is running on centos 6.5.

You need to have access to the server direcorty to make a backup of you whole server with every file.

But this has nothing to do with Teamspeak.
