Cant connect to my own server!

I have had my server for two days and it has ran fine, but yesterday I couldn't connect to it and today it still has not worked. I don't know if it might be because of a virus that I had on my computer recently, but it shouldn't affect it anymore, if it did, because my antivirus detected it and deleted it and my pc works fine now.
-things I have tried.
*disconnected and reconnected my router and modem
*checked the ports on my router
*tried connecting from another computer
*the ip for my server was typed in correctly, no errors.

Whenever I try to connect it can resolve hostname. It just can't connect to the server. I can connect to other servers just not my own.

Is your server on the same pc or a different one?
Run the server as administrator?
Does the server pc have a fixed ip or is it DHCP?

I think the server is not on his computer.

If you want help on this forum, post logs that include the IP. Many people just want to connect to servers that don't exist, which is the problem. That's why logs and IPs are required for any type of support request.
