Channel groups overwrite Server groups permissions

I had problem with Channel Admin.
It is interfere with law in group Server Admin.
Someone know how repair that?

I am not 100 % about your description, but i think you mean: The permissions from your server admin is overwritten with permissions from your channel admin.

Set the permission b_client_skip_channelgroup_permissions in your server group.
Or set the skip flage/value to the target permissions.

I highly recommend the skip flag for the particular permissions rather than enabling the whole b_client_skip_channelgroup_permissions permission. Enabling that permission makes your servers channels security go out the window with regard to anyone who has that permission enabled.

Please use the skip flag only in custom groups and only if you know what you are doing!

dante696, the default server admin group can self modify such a permission easily. In my server I do not want to accidentally bust in to people's secure channels. Maybe my server design is the exception but I personally think it should be disabled unless explicitly desired. People who are new to permissions may be confused when they set channel permissions above 75 and wonder how on earth they made it in. It could be enough to turn them away from TS because they feel there is too much complexity. I could be wrong, but that is just my opinion on the whole thing.

Hm, ever tried not to use the "admin" user for day2day talking?! I use different identies on my server, one for talking and one for admin stuff... in most cases the admin ID isn't used for weeks...

I use the same identity, I just have tabs open in different channels with slightly different names. I always leave my main name in one of the admin channels at the top so people can always send me messages with help or support requests, then I have other tabs to actually chat in hidden channels etc.

You can accidentally bust into people's secure channels anyways the default SA group ignores both the needed join power and the passwords of channels. So how would enabling this permission node for the default SA group do anything except make sure that the channel group never overrides the server group. Plus, how many people do you give Server Admin to? I for one create an admin group which cant mess with the VS, or certain other permissions.
And yeah it is enabled by default, cause SA is supposed to be the group that nothing surpasses. It is supposed to be essentially root.

I have very bad and specific problem. I had groups with "i_group_needed_member_add_power" set to 65. As a root I have "i_group_member_add_power" with 75. But as a channel admin i got "i_group_member_add_power" for 50. Ad my problem is that 50 from channels groups overwrite my root permissions.

How i can rapair this? How i can do server permissions more important than channel?

you need to add the Skip Flag on the Server Groups so Channel Groups wont be able to override.

i have a server group called admin, the server group has 50 permissions to move, kick, ban other users.
but the channel admin has 25 permission to move, kick, ban other users. the server admin group can not use his permissions because the channel admin group is over powering it some how.

somehow i can only assign server groups from my lobby channel. but my admins in a lower server group can do it form any room. what permission would be associated with this? I have not yet been able to find it.

Hello, I hope this is the right place to post this thing. I'm an admin in my gaming clan's ts3 server, today I saw a really strange conflict. Example: Paul is in the group X, and the group X have 60 power for put an user in the group A (the group A has 10 needed) (sorry I don't remember the permission name). If Paul is in the group Y too (channel admin; same permission but 50 power) he can't add an user in the group A. Can I fix it?

By using the skip flag in the server group on target permission (i_group_member_add_power).
