We are unable to offer real soloutions for this. That's the point.
Others did have the same problem but also no soloution.
It's hard to say why this happens, when nothing is printed in the client log or the GUI not even starts.
We think it did crash already, when it only shows up in the Tray for some seconds, but this still does not explain why it does crash.
Possible reasons could be:
- Installation is broken or maybe just QT or DLL files are broken
A re-download of the installer and a new installation could help - Maybe the config db did broke on first start
Find/Delete settings.db and ts3clientui_qt.secrets.conf
Possible path for the files
Code:
%appdata%\Roaming\TS3client
C:\Program Files (x86)\TeamSpeak 3 Client\config
C:\Program Files\TeamSpeak 3 Client\config
- You did not install all important Windows updates.
- Graphic/Soundcard cards driver are outdated or broken
- Antivirus or Spyware or Firewall prevents a start
Example where F Secure was the problem - Other software stan ds in conflict with QT or our files that are loaded on start
- Some Hardware like RAM could be broken
- Or maybe your computer is infected with something
- Maybe your Visual C++ Redistributable Package wasn't installed probally.
Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 SP1 Redistributable Package (32-bit)
or Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 SP1 Redistributable Package (64-bit)
I'm sure there are more possible reasons
But we don't really know why this happens and this is why we do not have fix for this.
