Can't connect using wired connection, but can through Wi-Fi

It's the same router I'm connected to.
Using Wi-Fi I have no problems at all.
Using my wired connecting I can connect to the server, see the server name and default channel, then I get disconnected.

When I disable my firewall I can connect, is wired using different ports than Wi-Fi?
Or maybe its something in my firewall settings (I use McAfee)

The whole thing is not really a question for our forum.

You get another MAC Address and another Lan IP from your Modem/router.
Sure this can result in a different result, when your firewall is not setup correctly.
