Hello, I'm having trouble recently connecting to any servers. I do not get any error messages or crash dump files, I just go to connect, get the Resolving hostname message, and then "Trying to connect to server at xxx.xxx", and the client crashes.
A bit of background: Awhile back I bought a friend's computer, so I did a fresh windows install and slapped on a free trial of AVG. Within a day or two of each other, the licenses expired, so I got a full version of AVG July 30th, and activated windows Aug 1st. Unfortunately, it was in this period of software negligence that Teamspeak started having issues. I've been playing around with it for a few days now before coming to the forums, but I'm hoping the log hints at the solution.
Teamspeak Client: 3.0.16
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate, 64-bit
What I have tried so far:
-Pinged the server IPs, no problems
-Capture / Playback options - Trying DirectSound and Windows Audio Session instead of defaults.
-Cleared the cache
-System Restore to the 29th
-Uninstalling AVG and turning windows firewall off entirely.
-Router settings. The only thing I found to try was disabling "SPI Firewall Protection" temporarily.
-Looked for "UDP Checksum Offload" setting, but didn't see it in advanced options for my wireless card (802.11n Wireless LAN card)
-Briefly installed Ventrilo to troubleshoot, successfully connected.
One strange note to add is that my buddy said someone in the server saw me in the lobby for a second, which coincided with one of my attempts. In addition, when the client exits, the icon often lingers in the taskbar, sometimes until I click the expand arrow by the clock. In a few cases, there was 2-3 Teamspeak icons at once that all promptly disappeared. When I click a public server from the list, the program immediately closes, while it will "think" or "freeze" for a few seconds when connecting from a bookmark. I apologize for any lack of further information; I've been at it for a few days and I'm a little embarrassed about the software situation, but this is the only program I'm having issues with at the moment.
Thank you for your time, I know you guys have a lot on your hands with Win10
