    Help with DNS

    Hallo,

    Currently I have a domain "pixel-pushers.net"

I want to link my teamspeak to that domain so it will allow players to connect to "ts3.pixel-pushers.net" (or similar)

    This is my A record

    This is my SRV record

I have done some research, but simply not getting it.

This is what I get when trying to log on with the teamspeak 3 client.
<13:24:33> Trying to resolve hostname ts3.pixel-pushers.net
<13:24:41> Failed to resolve hostname 'ts3.pixel-pushers.net'

    Any help is appreciated.

Your TLD as well as your domain is already implicitly specified (as you can't change it anyway), you only have to specify the subdomain.

What you actually did was to create ts3.pixel-pushers.net.pixel-pushers.net which works just fine as expected.

So the solution is simple: change the left input field on the A record to just ts3 and it will work just fine.

Also once you fixed that you will also be able to connect to just pixel-pushers.net
When sending PMs please make sure to include a reference link to the thread in question in the body of your message.

    I love you

I changed my settings to the following.

I am now able to connect to "ts3.pixel-pushers.net"
However I am not able to connect to pixel-pushers.net

While I originally only wanted to connect to ts3.pixel-pushers.net this is not a problem, however for future reference could you explain why this is ?

I think it's because of TTL still, but not sure.

anyways, thanks a lot for your help !
now I can finally move on.
