    (Linux Mint) Teamspeak bringing itself into focus upon messages being received

    Any time I receive a message, regardless of where the message is sent, teamspeak will push itself to the top window on Linux Mint similar to how Pokes work. I've not had this issue on Windows 7.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    I have this problem too. Did you find any fix way?

    Hey guys. So I assume that you guys are running stock Mint, with the "Cinnamon" desktop environment? It tends to do similar stuff to any program with a notification type function (Skype, eg). So first thing is first:

    If you are the only user (and therefore belong to the sudoers group by default, run "groups [username here]" and check if the "sudo" group is listed) you should run the command:

    sudo set org.cinnamon.notification-style=0

    You will need to then type in your password (it will now show you typing, however just type the password and press enter, it does see it).

    Once this is done run:

    sudo gedit /usr/share/cinnamon/js/ui/windowAttentionHandler.js

    This will open up a text editor with the file (windowAttentionHandler.js). You will need to find this line (should be line 49):

    window.activate(global.get_current_time());

    And change it into:

    //window.activate(global.get_current_time());

    Then save and reboot. Let me know if this helps!
