Icons are to small on 2K, 3k 4K Display Resolution

Seeing as 4K monitors are becoming far more common would it be possible to look at Icon sizing again?

Text size can be edited to be visible at 4K resolutions without a lot of hassle, but 16x16 icons are basically the equivalent of 4x4 at that resolution. If they can be set client or server side in the options and allow the use of .ico files with 16x16, 24x24, 32x32, 48x48 and 64x64 it would in theory future proof the move to high pixel density screens at least in the short term (release of Windows 10).

8K computing is on the horizon too, hence the inclusion of the 64x64 pixel size.

I have checked the other icon size requests, but none took into account the massive resolution increases we are getting now.

New icons, in the zip file, are 128x128. See for example default_coulored_2014.zip

Makes my job a lot easier, didn't notice the size had increased to 128x128.

Only issue is can only upload 16x16 to the Icon Manager...

This issue will probably be resolved with one of the next client/server updates when the devs switch to Qt 5.4 or any newer release. TS3 currently uses Qt 5.2 which still has some issues with HiDPI support...

    4K / UHD Display Resolution

    Hi Teamspeak-Pro's,

i was searching the web for information about how to handle the TS3 Client on 4K / UHD displays with a resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels. My problem is all about the scaling of the TS3 Client using with Windows 10. The font of the active users on our server is extreme small. I have no problems with the chat, because i can zoom in with ctrl + scroll-wheel. But i can't change the size of the users and it's pretty hard to see who is talking.

Maybe there is a workaround for that problem?

Some more details of my system.

    1. Display - ASUS 27" with 2560 x 1440 pixels (no problem with TS3, Main-Display for Games)
    2. Display - MEDION 28" with 3840 x 2160 pixels (second screen for using TS3 & Skype etc.)
    Nvidia Geforce GTX 980 graphics
    Microsoft Windows 10

    Thanks for your help!

    Greetings

Exclamation Display Small in 4K UHD Screen

    Dear TeamSpeak Forum Members,

Just yesterday I purchased a 4K UHD Screen and my TeamSpeak is very small.

At the moment TeamSpeak is the only Program that’s been affected

I will upload a screenshot of both my Desktop and TeamSpeak3

I am unsure of what to do about icons, but the side right box and bottom box - if these are too small for you. Simply left click in the box, hold control and use the mouse wheel to adjust the size. This works only for the bottom and right side boxes.

Hope this helps out a little

small icons on high dpi monitor

just as the title said, when i open TS3 client, the icons beside client(server group icon, talker icon, etc) become small. even the server banner is small..
how to fix that?or is it just the bug?

    Update icon size!

Replace 16x16 to 32x32. Not sure why it hasn't been done yet...

First things first: completely agreed with you. It's 2k17. 16x16 is unacceptable. Teamspeak is highly customizable platform, you can change design like you wish, but the icons... they feel like leftovers from very old version of client... they should be overhauled.

    Now the real thing is:
You can upload any size of icons to your server using old version of YaTQA.
For example, 32x32 icons will downscale in channel structure to 16x16, but when you click on user - icons will stay 32x32 (which is looks sooooooooooo cool)
The only thing is bugged - preview in permission management. And another one: for me, when i restart the server, some of the icons disappear from channels - if i overlook on permissions, value of i_icon_id permission on channels will switch to 0. This is weird.

Also this is completely unsupported... But i wish that to be supported

DON'T DO THAT ON PRODUCTION SERVER! Do it on test server. Don't risk with your main server!

I'd like to have a word from TeamSpeak about that.
