Hello,
So I wanted to add more emoticons following the theme of the default colored 2014 pack. I extracted the laugh.png image and modified it. I renamed the copy of laugh.png into evilgrin.png . The people I talk with use the following emoticon often: After making the new png giving it a name and assigning it a value of the code box above for conversion in chat. I tested it out. The result being >(laugh.png). It won't form the new emoticon. Then I thought maybe it passes the text into the first matching value being Naturally my thought was to place the evilgrin higher on the list to be checked. It still didn't work. So i removed the lines for laugh.png entirely. Still no success it just won't match. I then gave a secondary value to it of "XD" just to test and it works fine. My last thought is that the greater than(>) less than(<) don't work for emoticons. To test again I made an emoticon with line of evilgrin.png = "><>" being an ASCII fish. It didn't work either.
Code:
evilgrin.png = ">:D"
evilgrin.png = "XD"
evilgrin.png = "><>"
This is the current emoticons.txt file. Only the XD works. I guess my question is to an experienced member or support, is the > or < icon recognized by Teamspeak for emoticons?
Thanks for your time,
Hockey
