A friend and I are setting up a ton of servers but we use LDAP for authentication on everything. I'm aware that TS3 does not currently support LDAP nor does it plan to but would connecting to a MySQL db and getting the client ID's/names/whatever to ban them work? We plan on using it so that we can ban users on Teamspeak when they are banned on any of our servers.

It explains how to grant and how to revoke privileges where the primary user database is external to Teamspeak.
Don't modify the SQL database of Teamspeak directly. You will break it.
