Client crash from Newsticker since 3.0.17

Client 3.0.18.1 continues 'explodind' randomly, not as usual as it was with 3.0.17 but I have clients running in XP, Vista and W7 and they explode when they want.

I was clients running 24h/7days and it's a problem 'cause they stop randomly.

    This didn't happen with 3.0.16.

Hard to get what you mean with that report.

Explode? ->>> Do you mean crash?
They explode on 3.0.17, when they want? >> Who is they?

What is with client 3.0.18 ?
Which server version do you run?
    Which plugins do you use?

With explode I mean crash: the client crashs, or stops working, and it shows the dialogue asking for the user information previous to send the crash report.

"They" are the clients, in XP, Vista and W7. The clients running 24h were in 3.0.16 waiting for a version better than 3.0.18 that also crashed but not so often as 3.0.17 did. With 3.0.16 they worked days and days without problem.

    The server is 3.0.11.4 Linux

    Plugins:
    W7 with "Now playing" http://addons.teamspeak.com/director...w_playing.html
    Vista with "Now playing"
XP with no plugin (two tabs connected to the same server)
    XP with "Gateway commander" http://addons.teamspeak.com/director...Commander.html

Thrad moved to own topic (this wasn't related to this thread at all)

So your clients do crash since 3.0.17
Please send the reports as requested. And try running the clients without plugins or not as a music bot.

Please hold in mind that we do not give support for music bots on forum anymore*

Ok, I should have open a new thread.

Well, maybe it is not related directly but IT'S DUE to he forced min client version.

"Try running the clients without plugins" --> these clients offer a service to the users: no plugin, no service, so why use Teamspeak3 then? The server is for this.

I will deactivate the plugin in the vista client. The others, I prefer they crash that not having the service.

The problem with custom plugins is, that they can causes crashes in the client.
That's something we can not fix.

This would no be a problem, when our system for plugins would work like a sandbox. So that plugins can crash and do not cause the client to crash to.

Well, we finally have found a way to mitigate, almost resolve, this effect: just selecting "Disable news" on the news ticker.

Right-click on the news ticker --> Disable news

You may better fix your real "unknown" problem because the news ticker will enable again, when we push new news.

Something on your (all) OS does crash the client.
There are so many users outside with XP, Vist win7 and do not ecperience such an issue.

[Client 3.0.18.2]Client crashes unregularly, Problem within NewsHTTPDownload

After running teamspeak-client within a gdb-session, i have found out, that the crash is relevant to the newshttpdownloadthread.

Crashdump is attached to my post.

The used system is Archlinux 64Bit.
    Code:
    Linux arch-master 4.2.5-1-ARCH #1 SMP PREEMPT Tue Oct 27 08:13:28 CET 2015 x86_64 GNU/Linux
The used teamspeak-version is from archlinux-repository, so the system-libs will be used instead of the libs distributed from teamspeak itself.

If there are additional informations needed, please let me know.

We are working on it. We already had a fix for this included in client 3.0.18, but it seems this did not help either.

Client 3.0.19 will add an experimental fix for this crash in SSL. We could not reproduce this crash but the Crashdump was very helpfull.

Feedback after client release 3.0.19 would be nice

I think I'm having the same problem with "3.0.18.2 [stable]" on a windows XP laptop running 24/7 as a radio, I noticed the requested error report fails to be send because it's hitting the maximum size or something like that.
