    Client does not update

    Hi,
So about a week ago I started having a bug regarding TeamSpeak update. It shows up a dialog that says I need to update my TeamSpeak client. So I did it. But the bug is, every time I close TS and open it up, it asks me to update AGAIN. And again. And again.
And when I'm trying to connect to a TS server, it asks me to update once again, because the server is on a newer version.
So basically my problem is - every time I close TS client it reverses its version to the previous one (atleast that's what I think is the problem)
How can I fix it? It's so annoying to update every time I open up the TS client.

    Thanks in advance.

    1. Are you sure that the update did not fail anytime? chck your updater logs
    2. Are you really starting client 3.0.18.1 already (check Help -> About TeamSpeak)
    3. Is a second client installed and did update instead?

If you can not answer all ofthat, please use the installer to make it short

What you've showed is totally impossible, when only one client is installed!

    Code:
This is the latest client 3.0.18.1
    21.10.2015 19:24:59 Info TeamSpeak 3 Client 3.0.18.1 (2015-10-10 15:34:35)

This is an outdated client (3.0.16)
    https://gyazo.com/4f747cfdd31823a65ecc6b1d1229217e

Please find all clients on your system (search for package_inst.exe on your hard drive to find all)
Or use the installer to make a clean install.

Hmm, note also that the screenshot of the old 3.0.16 client also shows Qt 5.5 which only got introduced with client 3.0.18. The bets for two client binaries in one installation folder due to something going wrong in the update procedure or whatever the cause just went up I think.

Be it one or two installs, at least one is broken enough to conclude you're best off with a clean reinstall at this point, meaning uninstall, search for leftovers, then install fresh. You can keep your settings, there's no indication of them being related to your problem. For the record, they're either in a subfolder of your install location named "config", or in %appdata%/TS3Client.

I had a similiar issue. The client updated itself to 3.0.18.2, but when i closed it and reopened it it was again at the old version 3.0.18. My user account is not the administrator. TS3 was started with my user account. The updater could not update the files in "C:\Program Files\..." it seems. Instead it updated into an temp directory located in %APPDATA% and started the executable from there.

When i closed the client and opened it again via the start menu entry it started the version from the program files directory which then wanted to update again.

After ive realized this, i started the ts3 client with sysadmin permissions. It started the updater and it updated the client in the program files directory correctly.

Solution: The updater would need to check if it is installed to program files, check if the user permissions are enough to update something from program files and if not to prompt for sysadmin permissions.

What you've reported is not what you've showed. Thread title renamed and merged

The server want's newer client verison.
    - Maybe you did start another and older client. Check the version under Help.
    - Maybe the server owner has set 3.0.19 beta 1 as a minimal version
    - Maybe the server owner accidentally has set 3.0.19 beta 1 or a newer version (that doesn ot exist yet) as a minimal version.

3.0.16 is just to old for the latest server.

    I have the same problem

So, I wasn't getting update the TS. Everytime it's asked to update again and again.
I removed the last version that was 3.0.16 and downloaded the new but the problem continues.
But now it's worst. TS doen't open anymore. I also removed all the config but nothing changed.
    Someone to help me?

    Can't update TeamSpeak

So yeah, I'm having a hard time trying to update my ts3 client from the version 3.0.18.2
The version I'm currently trying update to is 3.0.19.4 but all I get is a message saying; Update cancelled. Push "details" to check reasons.
and when I open the details this is what I get:

Previous update session for v. 1468491418 found
    Starting update process for client
    Download / check product ini
    Downloading ts3_client_win64.ini._lzma2_
    ts3_client_win64.ini._lzma2_ returned 403
    ts3_client_win64.ini._lzma2_ returned 403
    ts3_client_win64.ini._lzma2_ returned 403
    ts3_client_win64.ini._lzma2_ returned 403
    ts3_client_win64.ini._lzma2_ returned 403
    Unable to download ts3_client_win64.ini._lzma2_
    Update cancelled

I've checked some other threads where people are having same issues and running the updater as an Adminstrator doesn't help, neither do I have a "Update.ini" file.

Operating system - Windows 10 Home
    Motherboard - z170 Pro Gaming
GPU - Asus GTX 1070 Strix
    CPU - i7 6700K
    No Additional Soundcards
    DirectX Version - 12

Thank you for taking your time.
