    Hello,

this is one of the reasons why you should NEVER add ANY regular client (meaning a non-query client) to the Admin Server Query group. It is just too easy to damage your database beyond repair and we do not give any support, if there has been messing around with the Query Groups.
You will have to start from scratch with a new database. From now on please do not touch the Admin Server Query group. There is absolutely no reason why a regular client should be in there.

Problem Deleted Query Group (Guest or serveradmin)

    Hey there,
I have a pretty big problem and do not know how to fix it. Yesterday between the web panel that I have installed to handle the TeamSpeak, and inadvertently delete one of the ts3 server group: Guest Query.
From that moment to access the web control panel to manage ts3 use, I do not detect any permission. Every time I go to one of the TS3 that I have created, I do not detect any of the permits had. I was wearing query the server admin. Need to know if there is any way to get back Permissions query server admin and set all permissions again as they were, without having to reinstall the TS3, I need urgent help.
    thanks

Using the Query group for clients is not supported
You must start your server from scratch to get this fixed. There is no other way.

For anyone else having the same problem, but not using a query group for clients:
Use a backup of your database or start from scratch to get this fixed.

The Teamspeak server should prevent adding/deleting forbidden group memberships and prevent deleting essential groups, so this kind of problem cannot occur in the first place.

Not able to login with Server Query Admin even after changing password

    Hey Guys

I installed my TS3 Server today and deleted the "Normal" Server Group which I want back now.

I searched through google and found out that I can use "permreset" when I'm logged in as Server Query Admin.

Now the first problem was that when I set up the teamspeak server my log didn't tell me of a password for the Server Query Admin.
That's the initial log I got:
    Code:

Because I've never worked with Server Query I checked in client with my Server Admin-User under Tools --> ServerQuery Login and set up a new account. I was able to login but my rights aren't sufficent to use permreset.

Question #1: How can I delete this account, because it's useless and I don't want it to use or to be used again?

Now that I didn't got a Server Query Admin password I used Google again and found this Tutorial on how to change the password: https://support.teamspeakusa.com/ind...admin-password

I read through it and did it and my server says:
    Code:

Well the last line tells it all...

Why can't I still login to use my 100 powers via Server Query?

    Thanks in advance!

But I'm afraid that would not be enough and you're in for a total server reinstall.

    Hi ANR Daemon,

thanks for your answer. I read the whole thread but there's nothing that really helps me...

I know how to use the Server Query but I never saw a log saying that there was a Server Query Admin login created.
I even managed to change the password but still can't login.

Is it possible and if yes HOW is it possible that there was no Server Query Admin created?

    1. A permreset can not be perfomred from a custom Query login as long it does not own the permission b_virtualserver_permission_reset (which is the default disbaled by default).
This needs to be done from the ServerQuery Admin with login serveradmin.

    2. The server log never prints the password to the log.
You need to write it down direcly after first start Or change it afterwards. We have threads for this.
We have an FAQ entry for this already.
    https://support.teamspeakusa.com/ind...-query-account

    3. There was 100% a Query Admin created on your first server instance start, when the DB was generated.
Your server would not work properly without it.

Thank you for you answer, Dante

I used the link you provided and started the ts3 server with the minimal runscript.

It says that the server query admin password was changed but I can't stop and start the server again. It's still running and says no instance found when I want to restart or stop it.

I tried the new password without restarting the server and it still doesn't work... I'm getting really pissed now.
Why the hell is it so hard to get this damn password, that's my server and I can't access the teamspeak with the powers I want?!

Show us the complete commands you have used to start your server and to login into that server
    Should be:
    Code:
    ./ts3server_minimal_runscript.sh serveradmin_password=test1234
    or
    ./ts3server_startscript.sh start serveradmin_password=test1234
    and on Telnet/Putty:
    Code:
    login serveradmin test1234
    use 1
    permreset

There is no need to restart the server and i do not understand what you mean with instance.
Read your server log if the server does not start again. It will tell you exactly what is wrong.

    Thanks for your answer, Dante.

In your link (https://support.teamspeakusa.com/ind...-query-account) it says: Upon starting up the server, the serveradmin password will be changed. Now please stop the server again and start it regularly (i.e. Linux users use the regular startscript, Windows users delete the shortcut created above and run exe file or your usual shortcut).
That's why I wanted to restart the server.

    I stopped my server:
    Code:
    2016-01-15 12:59:09.334682|INFO |VirtualServerBase| 1| stopped
Now again, I open up my terminal in the directory 'teamspeak3-server_linux-x86' and type in:
    Code:
    sh ts3server_startscript.sh start serveradmin_password=test1234
    Terminal says:
    Code:
    BusyBox v1.16.1 (2015-10-28 13:24:34 CST) multi-call binary.

    Usage: readlink FILE

TeamSpeak 3 server started, for details please view the log file

    Dante, I love you!!

Just as I saw the image I remembered that I deleted this line because I thought that this are only the connected clients and after the first login fail to serveradmin I thought, since I wasn't ever in with this user it doesn't need to be in that table and deleted it >.<

I did what you wrote. After starting the server to create a new database it didn't send me the newly generated serveradmin password but I stopped it anyway, started it with changing password and was able to login after...

    Now the followup question:

What do I have to do in my old database to "recreate" the serveradmin user?

And the 1st Question in my first post:

How can I delete the Server Query Login I created with my 75 powers?
Because I have no need to login to the query with other powers than 100...

    Thanks again!

You messed up your whole server with that action. You can't fix this anymore.
You must start your server from sctatch. If no working backup is available.

    For the future:
You must delete the whole client to get rid of the login. Currently there is no way to just delete the account for users (but this has been requested and added into a ticket already).

I did move the thread to the right topic after reason for the problem was found

    Edit///
Do not do anything else as you were told in this post.
Threads and posts with unsupported soloutions will be deleted on this forum.
We do not give any support for manipulation in the databse.
