    Do somebody know how to block the exploit? Or when will be the fix release?

    Next problem is with "virtualserver_min_android_version" and "virtualserver_min_ios_version". I have changed to 0 and users with an old client can not login. They are disappointed and want change server version to the older one.

    Currently only using server 3.0.11.4 solves the crash.
    We are working on a hotfix already , but i don't know a release date yet.

    There is no real good reason to use outdated client software!

    I did not talk about downgrading the server.
    Downgrades arn't supported and will not work as long you do not own a backup (while on older backups) of the database.

    Use a backup of your database and then run it under server 3.0.11.4 till a fix is out.

    Unsupported how tos will be removed!

    You can use backups of your 3.0.114 database or use older backups than 3.0.11.4 to upgrade and use 3.0.11.4.
    You can not use any database newer than (3.0.11.4)

    //Edit
    A server password can help too (not 100% sure)

    There is nothing else to say or to repeat.
    All unsupported how to's will be removed. Off-Topic's will be removed.
    Without any warning.

    We understand how urgent you all need a fix for that crash.
    We also understand your complaints and are working on a hotfix.

    //Edit 2
    Thread closed till we finally have any hotfix for the server.

    For example I can not run server from the backup because we have a lot of new servers (ATHP).

    If you do not know the release date then create an official downgrade script.

    I told with some TeamSpeak 3 server owners and all of them are disapointed of bugs and vulnerables. The worst is that we and our customers pay for the license but others use cracked version. On TeamSpeak 2 you blocked those servers but now you have not.

    Feel kinda bad for people who didn't have backups. This kind of stuff doesn't want to make people upgrade their servers in the future.

    Hi,

    this can maybe a temp fix (Workaround) for the problem with the Servercrash on 3.0.12.

    Add a Ban
    reason=' add reason here your text '
    name='.{15,}'
    bantime=0

    Nicknames with more then 14 characters get a Ban.
    If the change the Nickname to less than 15 characters, can connect.

    In my Case a User with this Nickname: aKqUI04wCl7VXQJ crashed my Server.
    With 1 character less, this will not crash the Server.

    Not the real fix but works for my Server.

    The bug is not connected to large nick. Random nicks are generated by exploit to prevent ban on nickname. But attackers change the length. We have noticed nicks with 5-15 characters.
