Error during startup : db_CreateTables() unable to load instance default values

    Hello,

My TS server was working like a charm since a few time, so I've decided to see logs files.

I did some search in this forum and I've read that since 3.0.12, we have to use ts3server.exe and not ts3server_win64.exe.

    Unfortunately, I've used ts3server_win64.exe after the 3.0.12 update ; please don't hit me :-/

Since my bad utilization, I've got error in my logs files.
At the begining it was like that :
    Code:
    2016-02-18 01:57:16.658206|ERROR |DatabaseQuery | | invalid parameter found :value*:
    2016-02-18 01:57:16.658206|ERROR |DatabaseQuery | | db_exec failed near ":tablename": syntax error
2016-02-18 01:57:16.658206|ERROR |DatabaseQuery | | db_exec() delete from :tablename: where id = :id: ;insert into :tablename: ( ser error: near ":tablename": syntax error
    2016-02-18 01:57:16.658206|ERROR |Variables | | unable to save ident: client_created value: 1455760636
After some times, now it's that :
    Code:
    2016-03-03 19:50:11.451612|INFO |ServerLibPriv | |TeamSpeak 3 Server 3.0.12.2 (2016-02-15 14:51:38)

    2016-03-03 19:50:11.451612|INFO |DatabaseQuery | |dbPlugin version: 3.8.6
    2016-03-03 19:50:11.451612|INFO |DatabaseQuery | |checking database integrity (may take a while)
2016-03-03 19:50:11.467212|CRITICAL|SQL | |db_CreateTables() unable to load instance default values
Is my db totally crashed because I not used the correct EXE ?

    As you can see, I'm on Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 x64, TS 3.0.12.2.

If you need some logs to analyze, no problems !

    Thanks for your help.

Yes, it can happen that you mess up the DB, when you use the old binary while all other files have been replaced in your server folder.
To fix this you need to use a working backup of this DB.

No, because repairing means you modify the databse and this is not supported from us.

This happened to me too today. First the spamming of

    Code:
    2016-05-01 12:01:14.330137|ERROR |DatabaseQuery | | db_exec failed near ":tablename": syntax error
2016-05-01 12:01:14.330137|ERROR |DatabaseQuery | | db_exec() delete from :tablename: where id = :id: ;insert into :tablename: ( ser error: near ":tablename": syntax error
    2016-05-01 12:01:14.330137|ERROR |Variables | | unable to save ident: client_unread_messages value: 0
    2016-05-01 12:01:14.351138|CRITICAL|Client        |  1| Assertion "m_ClientDBID != 0" failed at common\chanclients\client.cpp:239;
and then the same error as above when I try to start it.
A ~5 year old DB and settings just *poof* gone... Wish I never updated it seeing that's most likely the cause of this.

I have problems with a brand new installation of Windows with the latest MariaDB.
As you can see from the log below, then the server DOES connect and create the tables needed, but afterwards it produces an error and shuts down.
