    Teamspeak 3 and Debian PowerPC

I know that you guys are fairly selective on what architectures/platforms you work with, but I have a friend that is currently using a PowerMac G5 with the latest version of Debian on it (along with the latest libraries.) Teamspeak seems to use mostly cross platform components and has a x86-64 Linux compile available, but could it be possible to cross-compile out a Linux PPC binary?

    Thanks!

    This is not possible.

Power PC (PPC 32/64) is not supported from us.
Your computer and OS must be able to run the normal binarys for i386 or amd64 architecture.

    Question

But why is it not possible? Are you using a set of static libraries that are x86 only? Is there x86 optimized assembly code included? I'm aware that you guys shoot down alternate architectures all the time, but it is not quite clear why.

Mumble works without issue. Will be using that instead.
