Hi, my users have discovered a big bug with this version of the client (3.0.19)... they have begin to spam a message intending to crash the clients of other users. I have been forced to disable all mps and chat messages due to this problem.
Chris, I've sent a private message to you with the message that causes this problem, I hope you could do anything to fix it.

I have not the full chat because that conversation isn't mine, but if you paste the whole text and you send it to another client... you will crash his client, so I suppose a special character is causing the crash.Originally Posted by dante696

A ticket for the developers was created, but can I not say when this will be fixed.
That user could change his nickname (these 2 symbols before and behind the nickname) for a while as a workaround ;(

I just had a TROLL connect to my server and crash a user.
He was only, able to crash the one user who was using 3.0.19
3.0.18.2 seems to be safe.
as the previous user posted, it seems to be the hex characters

Guys you are trying to help, but you make it worse, when post the easy "how to crash" into public forum. This makes is easy for these trolls to crash all others ;(
Better send it as a private message as like Shelmak and Roem_ did before.
All strings got removed from me, but it's definitly to late to avoid these people now.
This crash has been fixed already and will be released in client 3.0.19.1 as a hotfix.

Any news to the hotfix? This is a serious issue, we have a quite big server and we are constantly having issues with users trying this

There is a guy that is crashing my TEAMSPEAK Users with a poke
he send " removed " and make everyones crash
Please fix this everyone is crashing, it's have been 10hours that he's doing it and everyone said that they wo'nt come to my teamspeak anymore
Why this exploit is existing !! it's not hte first time that they do it, it's was on the old versiosn too
