Avatar errors are most likely bugs in iOS. Haven't invested time in icons, though.

Im quite sure i don't have any users connecting from iOS though...

Also, i just gave it a look and i cant figure out how i can correlate the missing files with the client_flag_avatar property to delete these entries from the db.

I also can't understand how would this happen, since i've never deleted any files from the internal folder manually. Shouldn't the database be cleaned up when a user deletes an avatar or is this coming from somewhere else (like the client)?

The issue with the icons seems to be easier, since the id's seem to somehow correlate directly to the filename, except some negative numbers...lol

Here are all the log entries:

I had same error as you, the only solution for me is check with YaTQA which avatars are exists and manually delete all non-existing avatars from database via phpmyadmin (i'm using latest mariadb-server). The only good thing is that i have only 500 users in my database (and only 30 with avatars) so i deleted every entry 'manually'.

Thanks for the reply. I tried yatqa but im not getting anywhere. I must be terribly missing something...

    Example:
"avatar_mbakfbfcceoecjfimabpicafnajgjmbjlmkfdl cc" translates to client_unique_id "wQpRUiTkKVjAH4IF0JacGbylOyI=", according to yatqa. That id translates to client_id 2339, but when i look in the client_properties table for that client_id, the client_flag_avatar value is empty.

That means it's an iOS client.

    /Edit: Dafuq does this mean?
    Code:

    ahahah

Love that logic. Proprietary software ftw

    EDIT:
Ok, i just asked one of the users matching those missing avatars, and he never used a device with iOS nor he removed/changed the avatar recently (last couple of months at least) and doesnt have one atm

Is that error of not finding the avatar recent?

BTW, because icon filenames are confusing as well, I updated the filename tool to support icons as well.

    Cool

I searched my db for a couple of those icons translated to int with your tool and didn't find anything, just like what happened with the avatars.

The log entries that i pasted above are the first and only that i've seen about this kind of "info" messages...They also didn't occur on server startup, client connections or server queries (i checked this a while ago)...

It's the error code for "successfully received non zero UDP packet" in your operation system.
We should not print that message at all and will not anymore in next server release.

Do I need to install Server 3.0.13.6? I don't understand the fix for "Fixed virtual server stops responding to clients" Is it needed?

Yes you better install the version.

The reason is, the server does not accept any connection any more, till you restart the server instance.

Too lazy to test right now: Is IPv6 supported by the TSDNS client?

I was doing some tests in my server and i just found something interesting, related to the issues that i had a couple of months ago (reported in this thread)

    To be more precise, this:
    Code:
    2017-01-19 18:35:55.613688|ERROR | | |error writing tcp socket Connection reset by peer
...is caused (or can be, at least) by a connection attempt to the SQ port that did not complete. This seems quite obvious now, but i dont think anyone actually mentioned this.

It can be replicated by a simple nmap tcp connect (-sT)

Furthermore, white/black lists do not seem to have any effect on this, but i cant blame them, as they were likely designed to work on a higher level.

In the end, i do think that this was the reason for the server crashes that i experienced, since they stopped after i stopped seeing those messages. As for the reason, im still clueless, but it was probably some rogue brute force attempt.

This message appears when some weirdos doing their port scans.

Just call you server with IP:10011 or IP:30033 with your browser and this error appears. Unrelated to server crashes in my opinion. However I would like to see this message disappear as its useless OR see the IP that requested it (Feature request!) so I can safley ban them with FAIL2BAN.

I would be absolutely willing to commit this to fail2ban repo if this is implemented.

OR see the IP that requested it
Can't you just have Fail2ban or CSF have it looked up in the users http domainlog? Should be in there too.
