OSX Sierra Server not working, freezing Mac

Previously I had El Capitan installed with an older TS Server version. I had created an Automation, where TS Server would be started automatically after logging in. No problems, everything worked flawlessly.
Now, after installing OSX Sierra, my Mac Mini (server) froze after rebooting. After starting the Mac Mini in Safe mode I was able to install the latest TS3 Server software (P.S. at this point I wasn't sure TS3 Server was the reason my Mac Mini froze after boot). I switched off the Automation and was able to start my Mac Mini up the regular way.

After it booted, I tried to start up TS3 Server again. I got the following error:
"unable to load database plugin library "libts3db_sqlite3.dylib", halting!"

I then placed back my old sqlite3 file (of which I had made a backup when updating the TS3 Server software, according instructions).

Retried launching TS3 Server... no error message... however the whole Mac Mini froze again.... requiring a reboot.

Any help is appreciated? Is it a compatibility issue?

    Thanks

Hmm, I'm not sure if the server is the reason.
Mac OS Sierra is new and could be the reason itself (like older OS X version caused problems after release. Till Apple brang some updates)
    -----------------------------------------------------

Why did you need to go into safe mode to *install* the server?
The server is just a zip file that needs to get extracted. A installtion is not really happening here.

    -----------------------------------------------------
The error "unable to load database plugin library "libts3db_sqlite3.dylib", halting!" is normal on "OS X/ Sierra" when you try to start the server from any Dir than the server itself.

    To start the server:
    1. Go into the server dir (where the binary ts3server is extracted)
    2. And then perfom the command ./ts3server

I went into safe mode because otherwise my Mac Mini auto-runs Automator, after boot. Automator has a little script that automatically runs the TS3 Server. Whilst starting up the TS3 Server, my Mac freezes.... I didn't have any time to shutdown Automator, so I started up the Mac in Safe Mode.

I extracted the server.zip in a folder within applications. Went to that folder, and double clicked 'ts3server'. Terminal opens and I see the following:

    /Applications/teamspeak3-server_mac/ts3server ; exit;

Ah ok. I understand it now.

This is not the way how you start the server on OS X or macOS Sierra. This way never worked.
The server must be started from a terminal with command ./ts3server

Nice, starting a 'fresh' TS3 Server that way (from Terminal) worked!

However I would like to use my old Server settings, so I had made a copy of the libts3db_sqlite3.dylib file. Which I just pasted back in the new TS3 Server folder, replaced the one that was in there.
Trying to start up the TS3 Server, gives me the following messages in Terminal:

    2016-09-22 18:17:17.081111|INFO |ServerLibPriv | |TeamSpeak 3 Server 3.0.13.4 (2016-08-29 12:39:04)

I have a feeling I needed a backup of more 'old' files?? Hope not...

    Thanks for the help!

libts3db_sqlite3.dylib is just a libary to start sqlite for the server.
ts3server.sqlitedb stores server settings in case you do not use MariaDB/MySQL

See point 3 and 4 in thread How to: move / migrate / backup server into new machine or hard drive
to see what you need to backup.

I try to start the ts3 server on mac sierra client and server and still got the error with the sql database. I open the folder with the ts3server in it located in the program folder. Now I drag the ts3server program into the terminal and write the ./ts3server_mac after that I execute and get the error.

What do you mean by start the server from the directory itself? What do I have to type in the terminal to do this? Looking forward for any hint.

    .ts3server_mac ? That's wrong. It's ./ts3server
