    Icons only have 0 byte

    Hey Guys , interesting one for yas,

    Freebsd server Latest build, trying to add a server icon, goto upload it , icon is blank for others, check the icons folder on the server, its there but zero bytes. anyone got ideas?

    You did not open port 30033 TCP for file transfer AND / OR Your user in your operation system is not allowed to write files into target folder.

    Hey Dante,

    Thank you for your response , ports are open, can see info hitting the firewall and counting, permissions for the folders are the same user running teamspeak with 700 permissions.

    I can't imagine of something else.
    A blocked filetransfer behaves like this and just creates an empty file (command for write works + nothing was uploaded into = 0 bytes file)

    Are you sure the port is open and forwarded to the right IP?
    And is the IP filetransfer set to the right one (read log 0)?

    Does filetransfer work for someone (user needs to be connected from outside the LAN)?

    2. Threads have been merged here. The problem is the same as reported in november.



    Hey guys , running latest teamspeak server, alot of clients not seeing any server group icons...

    any suggestions ideas be great. This post might need to be in the server section not client area.

    Disconnect from your server, clear your Client's cache and connect again. Do you see the icons?

    if you don't see the icons anymore after clearing cache it means they're not on the server anymore. You'd have to upload them again.

    Thanks Chris would you mind if we had a Pm conversion, i think there may be a bug.

    You can send me a private message, but is there a reason why you don't want to post it here?

    I still think one of these is your problem and not a bug.
    - The port is forwarded for 30033 TCP, but to the wrong IP.
    - The server does use a different or wrong IP for file transfer (check your server log 0).
    - The server does use another port for file transfer.
    - The user who started the server has no permissions to write files

    And I think the client prints errors (in server chat or client log), when you try to upload a file.

    Please do not open more threads for the same problem.
    You had 4 Threads and all handled the same error. 3 duplicates got deleted, because they had no new details.
