How to: group can bypass their channel's password

I have server groups setup for people who use specific channels (e.g. one group always in a certain channel, another group always in another channel, etc.). They only use their specific channels. Each channel has a password that these users use, but I want to set it up where they can automatically join their channel without having to enter the password.

What settings do I need to change to do this?

    Thanks!

Set b_channel_join_ignore_password into a channel group.
Then assign that group to the user in target channel.

I tried this, but it doesn't seem to work. I'm still getting a password prompt with this setting selected and assigned in the appropriate channel. Screenshot of the setup is below: http://i.imgur.com/ZSzDhka.jpg

    Thanks!

Please show a full permission overview. Not just that little part.
Check that this permission isn't skipped in a server group.

What do you mean the full permissions overview? as in, what section from the Permissions screen do you need to see? The screenshot I sent you was for a specific group under the Channel Permissions tab with the show granted only option checked.

    The permissions are ok.

The password prompt will apear, when your user does not have b_channel_join_ignore_password in his current channel + does not know the password of target channel.
-> Just press enter to join the channel

ah, ok, I wasn't aware that the password prompt would still come up, so that flag definitely makes it work in the channel group. thanks.

is there any way to have users be able to move into channels that are password protected, and just be able to enter them after being assigned to a channel group (like how server admins can move into any channel without password prompts)?

    thanks again for your help.

Only when they own a channel group with that permission in the current channel.
Or when they have the permission asigned ina server group or as a client permission.

I repeat, the password prompt comes up, because there current permissions do not allow to bypass a channel password.
There is no permission check till the passsword check was send to the server.

Give a certain user ability to ignore a certain channel's password

    Hi,

So, I have 'personal channels' in my TeamSpeak server. The personal channels have passwords.
I'd like to make it so the owner of the personal channel has permission to enter his/her own personal channel without it asking for password every time. So ability to ignore the channel password only in that channel.
How would I go about doing this?

    Thanks.

Give him channel group Channel Admin in target channel. That's all you need to do.
This group has the needed permission b_channel_join_ignore_password enabled by default.

Thanks for the quick reply, and it works.
But, it still comes up with this message box:

    Attachment 14632

But you don't have type in anything there, it'll let you in.
Is that supposed to happen? Not a big deal though.

Also, bit off-topic, but is it possible to make the channel admin icon:
    Attachment 14633
    not visible?

The password prompt will always appear when the user hasn't yet the permission in current and target channel.
It's not perfect, but entering nothing or anything random works.

    Help Making a Bypass Rank

I wish to create a member rank without any Server Admin permissions, but has the ability to join any locked lounge, at any time.

How would I be able to create that?
