    Unable to activate mic.

    Hi. I have downloaded TS3 for windows and unable to activate my microphone. They activate mic buttom has remained grey and doesn't work. I have also been informed that there should be a "Settings" drop down menu next to the "tools" menu accross the top bar. Am I doing something wrong? My headset is a new Turtle Beach unit and I don't know how to test if I have a faulty mic.. All help gratefully accepted.

    Grey could mean one of these:
    The microphone is already activated in this tab.
    There is capture profile selected for this tab.
    Your Capture device was not detected.

    • Is the client muted in the Windows volume mixer? Do a right-click on the speaker icon in your tray and then select Open Mixer to check this
