With auto-gain disabled on iOS, the microphone level is impossibly low. I have to crank most people up to max volume on the desktop client before they're as loud as everyone else, and they're largely inaudible on iOS since the master voice volume can only go up by 5 DB. With autogain enabled, it takes an extremely long time for teamspeak to focus in on someone unless they're talking constantly at moderate volume, and any sharp sound like a cough or a slamming door can easily bring the autogain back to 0. I love using the iPhone app to chat with people and it's one of the more stable voice chat systems across all platforms, but this makes it a little irritating. The autogain is much better than most other clients I've sen, but we shouldn't have to use it just to be heard.
