    TSDNS after Update

    Hello,

    i ran my ts for my clan since 2013 and i always used the TSDNS like this
    csgo.clan.de=ipadress:12000
    wow.clan.de=ipaddress:1400
    lol.clan.de=ipaddress:1337
    clan.de=ipadress:1339
    *=ippadress:9877

    Clients would connect to csgo.clan.de and be redirected to clan.de:12000
    since the update i get the error Warning that this will not be supported anymore in the next client.

    so i added the following SRV record: _tsdns._tcp.clan.de in SRV 0 5 41144 clan.de TTL=1DAY

    this doesn't work for me ^^ i still get the error message

    so i thought i try and disable tsdns completly and use the _ts3._udp records like this

    _ts3._udp.clan.de in SRV 0 5 12000 csgo.clan.de TTL=1DAY
    _ts3._udp.clan.de in SRV 0 5 1400 wow.clan.de TTL=1DAY
    _ts3._udp.clan.de in SRV 0 5 1337 lol.clan.de TTL=1DAY
    _ts3._udp.clan.de in SRV 0 5 1339 clan.de TTL=1DAY

    but here the clients only find one ts

    so how should someone like me solve this what's the best pratice for this scenario?

    regards
    SammYrai

    That's because you created duplicates of the same record and the client never sees that SRV record when connecting to subdomains.

    What you actually want is this:

    Code:
    _ts3._udp.csgo.clan.de. TTL IN SRV 5 100 12000 clan.de.
    _ts3._udp.wow.clan.de. TTL IN SRV 5 100 1400 clan.de.
    _ts3._udp.lol.clan.de. TTL IN SRV 5 100 1337 clan.de.
    _ts3._udp.clan.de. TTL IN SRV 5 100 1339 clan.de.
    clan.de. TTL IN A 1.2.3.4
    Where TTL is an integer value.
    When sending PMs please make sure to include a reference link to the thread in question in the body of your message.

    I would suggest a dedicated A record for TS server. Even if it's the same as main zone IP.
    Smth. like:
    Code:
    _ts3._udp.csgo.clan.de. SRV 5 100 12000 ts3.clan.de.
    _ts3._udp.wow.clan.de. SRV 5 100 1400 ts3.clan.de.
    _ts3._udp.lol.clan.de. SRV 5 100 1337 ts3.clan.de.
    _ts3._udp.clan.de. SRV 5 100 1339 ts3.clan.de.
    ts3.clan.de. A 1.2.3.4
