PTT Stops Working After 20 to 30 Minutes

Hi! So I've been having this issue lately with the last update. Whatever I am doing, game, browser of even having only TS opened, my PTT hotkey stops being recognized after a random time. So when I press the button, the light doesn't light up anymore, but I can still interact with the app. Restarting the app seems to temporarily fix the bug, and it repeats itself about every 15 minutes. Also, I noticed that when the bug happens the TS3 instance that was opened doesn't shut down. It stays ''active'' in my hidden icons and when I restart the app, it creates another one. So I get something like this http://imgur.com/a/V81GK . So I have an unclosable TS3 on the left, and the active window where I'm connected on the right. Also, whenever this bug happens, I lose all my server settings, meaning if I set the volume for someone on the server it gets reset, and I also lose all my groups so all my permissions on the server, probably more but I don't use all the features.

I have tried reinstalling TS3 and I even formatted my PC. If someone has a fix for this issue or encountered it and knows a workaround, please advise! Thanks!

PTT Stops Working After 20 to 30 Minutes [Might be Add-On Related]

So as the title indicates, my push-to-talk key stops working after 30 minutes. It can not be reset by changing it in the options. Only thing that I do to make it work again is close teamspeak and start it up again. Everything works fine again, until 30 minutes later again.

I am using ACRE 2 plugin with Arma3 when this happens. I am not sure if it is happening with the mod right now. I will test that soon. (posting on both these forums and the acre 2 forums).

This issue has already ruined several game nights, for me and caused issues in game for others as well so I need to fix it. Any ideas on what to check would be greatly appreciated.

Two logs are included and should have the issue included in at least one of them

What I see from the logs is that your audio device starts to disconnect and reconnect after you disconnect or got kicked from server?
Could be related, but we are not sure here.

What audio device and keyboard/mouse or gamepad/joystick do you use?
You may try this without using ACRE to see if this is the root of your problems.

    I'm using:
Logitech G430 headset (plugged straight into the PC)
Razer Blackwidow Ultimate/ Razer Naga Hex
I also have my flight gear plugged in when playing (CH Fighterstick and ProThrottle, with Saitek Rudder Pedals)
None of these are new however, and the problem only began occurring after a fresh OS install of windows 7 and immediate upgrade to windows 10 (64-bit).

I have just tested without the plugin running, but in an empty chat room and it still cut out.
I can switch to continuous transmission or voice detection and it will continue reading the microphone, just push to talk no longer works even if I rebind it to a new key or the same key.
90% certain I am launching as admin. The 10% is just me not knowing windows 10 too well.
I also did the normal uninstall/reinstall of teamspeak before I made this thread due to the persisting issue.

    Push to Talk stops working.

While playing a game (Playerunknown's Battlegrounds), my push to talk will work for a certain period of time. Then, usually inconveniently it will no longer allow me to push to talk. the orb doesn't light up, and no solution has been found yet. I run as administrator, and I have no other hotkeys set for Teamspeak. If someone knows a solution I am all ears, it is frustrating that I have to quit out mid game, and rejoin my server.

And what hardware and operation system do you use.

I have a similar issue as the OP (might be the same).

With time, TS3 develops a delay of several seconds between me pushing the PTT key and it activating. When I release the key the same delay is applied before it stops transmitting.

Restarting TS3 is the only method I have discovered that fixes this, and the problem always returns with time (seems to be random how long it takes, sometimes hours, sometimes 5min).

I am using Windows Audio Session as opposed to DirectSound as per instruction in this thread.

I am having a similar issue as OP. Everything was fine up until i updated TS today. My PTT stops working after a while, usually while i am ingame. I always run TS as admin as i know this can be an issue when not running it as admin.

After some tests i notice that when my PTT stops working, not even voice activation or continuous transmission work. I found a way to get it to work by going on Self > Capture Profile, disabling and re-enabling the default profile. After i do this it seems to work.

My only changes to the computer today were the installation of a 1080Ti and driver update. All cables are connected to the same USB ports as previously.

My mouse is a Razer Imperator and i am using one of the side buttons as my PTT hotkey. My Mic is an AKG P120 with a Behringer U-Phoria UM2.

The mic still works in other apps, it is just TS that stops working with it. Here is the client LOG:

    Very long delay on PTT

Quote Originally Posted by aniron View Post

With time, TS3 develops a delay of several seconds between me pushing the PTT key and it activating. When I release the key the same delay is applied before it stops transmitting.

Restarting TS3 is the only method I have discovered that fixes this, and the problem always returns with time (seems to be random how long it takes, sometimes hours, sometimes 5min).

I am using Windows Audio Session as opposed to DirectSound as per instruction in this thread.

    Windows 10 x64
    i7-2600k
    1080Ti
    24GiB RAM

    Same problem here.

When I start the client everything works fine, but after some minutes a delay starts to build up between pressing the PTT key and activation of the microphone. And when releasing PTT the microphone keeps activated for the time of the delay. The delay is moderate at the beginning (about 2 seconds) but gets worse with time, I experienced delays around 20 seconds.

The problem is gone after restarting the client, but occurs again after a few minutes.

I found another aspect of this problem.
When I try to assign/reassign the PTT hotkey in the client some time after starting the client, the same delay occurs between pressing the key to assign to PTT and the grey box accepting and showing the assignment.

Hotkeys stop working in a while!

NOTES: Now in use version 3.1.4 but the problem started during the last version. I always run TS3 as admin.

So when I launch ts3 my hotkeys work (I use push to talk "mouse 5" and mute/unmute mic at numpad "*") But after about 30minutes give or take, my hotkeys stop working. Both of them so it's not my mouse that is causing this. The problem get's fixed when I relaunch ts3 but it's quite hard and irritating to do while playing a game since I only have one monitor. But even if I do this the problem comes back in another 30mins. So what could be causing this?

Things I have tried: I always run TS3 as admin, reinstall TS3, Deleting and remaking the hotkeys, making new hotkey profiles and changing a setting from the hotkey menu between "default" and "keyboard & mouse only"

    Push-to-talk key bind stops working

Hello the issue is that my push to talk keybind (R CTRL) stops working after an indeterminate amount of time (usually in the neighborhood of 40 minutes, I've had this issue for the past couple of months and have done some searching in the forums but to no avail. I have also checked recent change logs, some of which would seem to fix this issue, yet it persists. I have done all of the following trying to resolve the issue.
    • Restarted the client
    • Reinstalled the client without deleting profile info
    • Reinstalled the client with deleting profile info
    • Deleted Teamspeak entries in the registry, and reinstalled the client

    Any help would be appriciated!

    -Cheers

If you are running a third party profile app, configure the push to talk you use on the throttle as a keyboard key (like Caps Lock). Then go to the Hotkeys tab and in the bottom right change the dropdown from Default to Keyboard and Mouse only.

    Push to talk stops working

    Hello,

So I'm struggling with an issue for a while now and I have tried many options in other topics before I'm posting this.
After a random time, my PTT hotkey does no longer work. When I click the button, the light does not show up and people can no longer hear me. When I go to Options I cannot set a new hotkey. Not a single key is accepted. Then I have to close Teamspeak and restart it. Teamspeak will however still stay active in the Task Manager, until I close it. The whole situation repeats itself about 5 to 7 times a night.

    Things I tried:
-Changing the key from my mouse to my keyboard
-Go to hotkeys page in options and set it on mouse and keyboard only
-Unplug any other devices, besides my mouse and keyboard
-Tried a different headset (tried both USB and mini-jack)
    -Tried reinstalling Teamspeak
-Tried to use compatibility mode up to Win7 (I'm using Win10)
-Reinstalled all the sound drivers I could find in device manager
    -Running TS3 as Admin|

At some point I even reinstalled Win10, so it may be a hardware issue after all. I just would like to hear your thoughts, before I'm spending a lot of money on either Keyboard and Mouse or a new Motherboard. Could it be that my sound card is simply broken?

Is there any way I can see a log and see why it stops working?

    Finally a working solution!!!

Teamspeak has always worked for years on my pc and suddenly I got this very annoying PTT error.
Today it was a rainy day so I decided to stay at home and spend 8 hours to find the root cause of this problem.

I havent been using Teamspeak for about a month and after logging on to my favourite server my PTT randomly stopped working after a few minutes. After going to the Teamspeak sound capture options I tried to change recording device from my desktop microphone to default and I did a mic test and it worked....for about 1 minute and then the problem repeated itself...
I tried closing and restarting Teamspeak and then mic worked for about a minute and after a minute the problem rose again.

    recap:
I tried reinstalling my soundcard drivers > No result
    I tried re-installing Teamspeak > no result
I tried reinstalling Nvidia HD audio driver > No result
I tried disabling all devices in windows hardware manager except the mic > no result
I searched on Google for a solution to problem "PTT stops working in teamspeak after few minutes" > none of the provided solutions worked
I disconnected my mic and reconnected > no result
I disabled all addons in Teamspeak > no result
I reinstalled usb drivers > no result
I tried running Teamspeak as admin > no result
I tried to change my PTT key to different keystrokes > no result
I tried to run Teamspeak in Win7 compatibility mode > no result

Finally after around 8 hours I realized that I cleaned the room last month and I detached all usb cables from my PC. I then tried to switch my microphone from a usb 3.0 to a usb 2.0 input and VOILA > PROBLEM SOLVED!!!

I took the time to share this with you guys so I hope this solution will work for more ppl who encounter this issue.
If it worked for you, id appreciate a reply
