Permission Names do not show description

    Hello i'm running Version 3.1 beta-4 on a Windows 7 laptop.
I think there might be a bug when I change show style on permissions tab.
Either I select "Show names" or "Show descriptions" I see permissions like I've chosen "Show Names".
Problem seems to persist even with a client restart.
I haven't any problem with that as I've used working with "Show Names" option but some others may have a problem with that.

This thread is not related to that other thread. This thread is just about the "show names/descriptions" combobox being broken. It works for me in beta5.

You are right. I edited my reply and removed the url but my questions stay in the room.

But i know that we had exact that bug 1-2 months ago when the client used german language.
And i know that we fixed it already.
But I could not find the a thread or post or the ticket today.

The server is running 3.0.13.4 version on Debian/Linux.
I am using the english version of teamspeak and also when I open permissions "Show names" is selected

This bug should be fixed in the latest beta already.
This is why i could not reproduce it.

Which build date does your version have?
A 3.1.1 version does not exist while I answer here.

Hello, i would like to say, that the bug exists in current version 3.1.0.1 - "show description" or "show names" in permissions overview just does not work and its always "show description"

is there some fix or i need to wait for next update of TS?

We could not reproduce it yet (that's needed to find and fix something).

It could help when I would have such database where settings are going wrong.
Sending me your settings.db in a private message would help a lot. (You don't have to be logged in into myTeamSpeak.)
The file can be found under %appdata%/TS3client

Thank you Makaan_89 for sharing your settings.db.

The good news: your file isn't broken.
The bad news: I'm unable to reproduce it ´with client 3.1.0.1 on server 3.0.13.6. Everything looks fine in permission dialog and in Permissions Overview.

Does it help when you delete all perm.dat files from your client cache?
Way 1: Disconnect from server and open Tools -> Options -> Security. Click on Clear Cache and only select Cache.
Way 2: Close your client first and then search for perm.dat in %appdata%/TS3client/Cache.

    Hi,
tried it, doesnt help, i asked my friend, who has his own TS too, and he had this problem too, it disappeared "after some time" without any changes or updates according to him.

I installed latest update, everything was fine, few days after i go into permissions to check something and i couldnt find any, because i was used to search by name and it doesnt work, yay.. so
dont know what to do about that, i even tried reinstalling client, doesnt help.

Also my provider uses 3.0.13.5 - could that be the problem?

I don't think the server version does matter. But your host should update to the latest version.

I still have no clue how to this can happen and disappears after some time.

    Teamspeak Permission no Description

Recently ive started working on permissions again. Something popped up which somewhat annoys me.

On the latest update I cant see the description of the permission. The images below will help me explain better.

    This is build 3.0.19.4:
