lua plugin folder missing

I have downloaded the newest client release from the TS3 website. (3.1.3 - 23 Mar 2017)

To use LUA plugins, we apparent need a Plugins folder, and then a lua_plugins folder which holds the following:

Make sure you have the following files in plugins/lua_plugin and that you can read those:
ts3autoload.lua
ts3defs.lua
ts3errors.lua
ts3events.lua
ts3init.lua

But, it appears that I do not have such a folder, nor the 'required files'. Any ideas on how to get a lua plugin to work then?

The Lua Plugin by TeamSpeak Systems GmbH in the Tools - Addons is set on enabled.

The tutorial you are referring to is outdated.
You have to install the lua plugin on your own and plugin path for custom plugins has changed.

The new path for plugins is the config path
%appdata%/TS3client/plugins or in config folder where the client is installed.
