so, i tought my server was hacked.

So i tought my server was hacked/hijacked due lack of administrating, and i flushed it all.
this time i did the job correct, inc password.
and found yatqa tool, and did some toying with it.
on my 1st initial i made zip from the working server, in case i messed up again.
and made a snapshot from the server, restored the 1st zip file, and did a restore snapshot.
    WOW.
after clicking the user DB i saw something odd.
a entry from a user, that NEVER was on the new server setup (passworded)
    So.
how can he be show in the user DB, while i also CANT see him in the log files.
i think that this guy was the one who hijacked my old server,
but how can he show up in the user DB from the new server?

Users that fail to enter a password are listed with 0 connections.
Restoring a snapshot/backup from a server that has security issues is not a good idea.
Not sure why you restored a backup and a snapshot. Snapshots are inferior to backups.

ok, the backup is a complete directory backup, so with NO channels and rights set.
the snapchot HAS the right rights set.
and as for the player, well, is was past midnight, tirred like hell, so i unzipped it to the wrong directory, so i had a log file isue.
the player DID tried to join on the right place, but i started the wrong instance.
and as sayd, the snapshot was with proper setings,so, my mistake.
still, the tool is more as VERY usefull.
i am not yet gonna try it out in a fresh maked server instance bcouse ID are difrent.

No. At least if you zipped the whole directory.
If you zipped only the "files" directory, that won't get you anything because channel IDs will be different after a snapshot restore.
