Push to talk key switching channel selection

Whenever I press my push-to-talk key (currently set to the b key), it switches the current channel I have selected to another one, and it keeps going back and forth between channels that start with the letter b. It forces me to load whatever text and images are in it, thus freezing my computer sometimes. I'm wondering if there is an option somewhere that stops this, or if I simply have to change my key to something else. (Note: it does not switch channels, it just selects them and loads their descriptions.)

Unselect the server tree. Click into the chat or server/channel/client info.
    Or in select the client.

It works, even though it is a roundabout way of doing things. Thank you!
