Particular TS server causing lag spikes.

I've been using TS3 to play World of tanks for around 3 years now.

Never have any problem with it until now, that we just moved to a new TS server with my clan.

what happens its that i get constant lag spikes each 30 seconds or 1 minute... it happens every time i am connected to that server, and it makes the game unplayable cause it just keeps freezing for a second or two whenever this happens.

This is how Pingplotter looks like whenver i am connected to that server.

And this is how it looks like when i am not connected to it, but i was connected to another one (if you notice the first two lag spikes, i was still connected to that server, and then i marked it with a red arrow below the graph when i switched)

any idea what could be causing this or how could it be solved? never had this problem with a server before...

    thanks.

It may be that the new server has a huge server or hoster banner that is set to rotate (re-download) every minute, saturating your Internet or wlan connection while it is downloaded by your client once a minute.

Check the banner, make it smaller, and even better: disable banner rotation.

That's why we need an option to disable host banners.

Ohhh really? then this might be the problem i guess...

the TS server has this GIF as a banner.. it weights around 4/5 Mb... and yeah it rotates.. do you think this is enought to cause the lagspikes?

    Thanks for the reply!

Alright, Server banner was removed and so far i have not experienced this lag spikes!

it seems that was the problem!

thanks a lot guys! Problem solved... But yeah, it would be very nice to have an option to disable banners locally for each client.
